In at #10 is 3OH!3 and their collaboration with Katy Perry, Starstrukk. It became a #3 hit and the group's most successful to date. It was one of only 4 tracks to avoid any 0 or -1 scores.

Debut track Pass Out shot straight to #1 for Tinie Tempah and became one the year's (and decade's) most iconic hits. It would set him up for a hugely successful year with a further #1 and two top 5 singles to follow.

Tik Tok meanwhile, the first solo effort from Ke$ha, became a long-running top 5 hit in late 2009. It followed her #1 feature on Flo Rida's Right Round. Both of these tracks received the most number of 10s in the rate, with 13 each.

Edit: Slight momentary error there! :P (hopefully no-one was watching)

I feel this is going in about the right order, Pixie Lott, Sugababes and that AWFUL Robbie Williams track beating the wondrous Stay Too Long aside.

And would have been nice to get Many Of Horror top ten but it's done very well I think.

Fireflies became a debut #1 single for Owl City, spending 3 weeks at the summit. He only has one other hit to his name since, his collaboration with Carly Rae Jepsen on Good Time 2 years later.

Australian singer Gabrielle Cilmi scored a top 10 single in 2008 with Sweet About Me. After a couple more fleeting visits to the top 40 she was back in the top 10 in early 2010 with upbeat track On A Mission. She hasn't managed another hit since however.

Dog Days Are Over may have only peaked at #23 in the UK but it one of the Florence + The Machine's most memorable tracks and sees them finish in the top 5 in this rate.

2 extremely familiar acts to the top end of Now Rates again finish in the top 5. Rihanna, winner of 3 rates, finishes in fourth this time with Russian Roulette, lead single from her fourth album Rated R. It became the final #2 hit of the 2000s.

The top 3 in this rate also finish a sizeable distance from the rest of the pack. Forum favourites The Saturdays scored their sixth top 10 single in late 2009 with Ego, which manages a commendable average of over 8.5, but not quite enough to challenge for victory.

So it all comes down to Bad Romance Vs Hollywood.

Best 2 songs on the album next to each other in the rate

Ego is easily one of The Sats best tracks and Russian Roulette is still a heartbreaking and incredible power ballad

Oops at not voting  anyhow Russian Roulette, Ego, Woman On A Mission, Fireflies and Tik Tok all top 10 is great to see. I feel Ke$ha has yet to top that song for me (Timber aside) ^_^

Well was it really ever going to be anything else? This rate was effectively about the battle for second which is won by Marina & The Diamonds. Hollywood, her debut single, peaked at #12 in early 2010 and would be her first of five top 40 hits. Its average score of 8.69 would have been enough to win numerous rates but alas not this one as...

Finishing well out in front it's Lady Gaga with her 3rd UK #1 single, Bad Romance. Released at the time Gaga was right at the top of her game it had 2 separate stints at #1 and became one of the highest selling songs of the year. Some amazing statistics from this rate include nine 11 scores (which I believe is the highest in any Now rate ever), only 2 scores out of 30 lower than an 8 (:hi:) and a finishing average of 9.48, the second highest of any track in any rate. A truly deserving winner and becomes her 2nd victory after Poker Face.

Big thanks to the 29 other participants. Poster stats and the next rate will be up at some point tomorrow or perhaps even Sunday.

As ALWAYS. :hi: I'm the other one. Though it's not bad, just not a winner I'd prefer. Hollywood would have been lovely to take the top spot.

Don't even mind all those songs beating Fireflies as they're all very great pop songs in their own right and I swear that's better than Fireflies normally does.

Good winner, one of Lady Gaga's best. I can't even remember that Marina track :o

Two great tracks from Sats/Riri at #3 and #4. I would call Fireflies going to #7 a success :winner:

Great to see Pass Out and Tik Tok top 10 too

Example way too low  it just seems to be as banging of a tune as it always has, without getting old!

In My Head and Replay deserved so much more as well :snif:

Poor JLS and Chipmunk doing so badly also, although I didn't really expect those type of songs to do well on here. I know Buzzjack's taste quite well now :P

Not enough N Dubz fans on here :( Playing With Fire is one of my biggest faves from them :music:

I'm guessing people don't remember Jay Sean :heehee: I wasn't expecting it to do well honestly.

Good to see #40-#43 doing so badly :D

That was honestly such a brilliant edition, would have been happy with any of the top 10 + "Starry Eyed" and "If We Ever Meet Again" winning.
Well OF COURSE it was going to be 'Bad Romance' topping this rate. I did give my 11 to one that finished in the final 10 so small mercies and all that!
