I think Elton John's new album is out this Friday, guess that's her only competition + Bowie's Best

whatever you say, sure she lost some sales cos of the Tidal thing but shouldnt affect random casual buyers

Rihanna verses Elton John verses Wiz Khafia a week Friday, she might just make number one (but only for one week)

As has proved this week suspect we are in for a period of unpredictable Album number 1's.

I don't think it will be as simple as Rihanna versus Elton John versus Wiz Khafia.

I personally wouldn't rule out David Bowie or Adele or even Coldplay (there is Chris Martin in Carpool Karaoke, Superbowl appearance and rising "Hymn For The Weekend").

Also wouldn't be surprised to see a Radiohead or Beyonce Album to drop.

It must be time that someone else mega-famous died and took over the album charts!
Sorry if I missed this but why is 'Chandelier' climbing? I'm guessing it was performed on The Voice or something?

Yes it was. Streaming won't be kind to the song this time so I can see it missing the top 40

True but anything that gets it closer to that million sales mark is good enough for me :)

I was expecting Rihanna to close the gap on Sia. She's been #1 on iTunes the whole time. Let's not forget that Yeezus managed #1 on downloads alone with 5 days

Yeah but she has no physicals hen, if she wasn't #1 yesterday, she wasn't going to overtake today.

Sia is going to be overtaken isn't she :(

Yes, but she's looking very good for #3.

Why is both ZAYN and PILLOWTALK capitalised? It really annoys me when artists insist on doing that (not to mention that Pillow Talk should be two words)

I understand that ANTI doesn't have streaming and physicals on its side, but I can't help but think that Rihanna's star is fading slightly which is sad tbh since she was such a chart force from 2010 to 2012. I've heard the preview of 'Work' and it doesn't sound like a worthy "comeback" single. I guess at least she's bagging a top 10 this time and both BBHMM and AO have been swept firmly under the carpet.

Great to see Zayn look like a certainty for #1. Hopefully Craig David manages to somehow stay top 10 but I'm guessing he's at #9 only because streaming is missing.

Well her star has been fading for a about a year now I'd say. It was very apparent with BBHMM and American Oxygen. But I'd say, the success of Work, which is holding up VERY well considering there's no streaming, says there's still some fight left. The album isn't a disaster either, I expected worse for a digital release for an album that thousands legally downloaded for free and isn't on Spotify.

Only Monday's streaming is missing, I think Craig should nab that top 10 placing.

It's a shame to see such a tragic downfall for Rihanna. To think she was the biggest star in the world at one point, and now this.

Rihanna deliberately didn't release an album of Sia-penned, Guetta-produced club bangers, so the album was never going to be that big a commercial success. I think it's doing fine for what it is.

happens to everyone, look at Madonna, Britney, Gaga,... will happen to Adele too one day...

but I think it could be close between Sia and Bowie, Best of Bowie did 1K more than Sia's today, the difference is now 3K and with 3 days left, should be close, although I agree she will probably miss
