February 10, 20169 yr Author Let me blow up this house tonight 7hPMmzKs62w 04. Bitch I'm Madonna / 74 points And joint with the previous song but receiving more nominations in the last round (actually more specifically, recieiving more nominations than any other song!) it is the most recent single that Madonna has released :o 'Bitch I'm Madonna' is the 3rd track to feature Nicki and was released as the 3rd single from 'Rebel Heart' only a few months ago. It's a world away from the other singles on the album (which are more representative of the album's side) but it's one of those moments of many that show that Madonna can still attempt to be down with the youth as she goes all techno-trap and abrasive with this bonkers number. It's not really a stand-out of her career or even the album it comes from and it's the music I wish she would stop making because the rest of the album has so much to say and this just does not. But still, I do enjoy it and it's a brilliant party starter / very FUN. With this being the latest single she has done it appears you don't think she gets better with age~ :mansoncheer: 04. Bitch I'm Madonna 05. Did You Do It? 06. S.E.X. 07. Spanish Lesson 08. Shoo-Bee-Doo 09. Girl Gone Wild 10. Candy Shop
February 10, 20169 yr Reading the song titles from top to bottom and they sound like chapters from a 50 Shades sequel  k I need to listen to these. But not #4. Only #4???? Maybe the top 3 are so bad that they didn't even achieve popularity for being bad ;) Production is shite though and Nicki featuring in it trying to make her seem like she's playing in the same ball park and the song just doesn't suit ha usual choonages  Also the worst part is when she "sings" the song title. Madonna could have just given the song to Nicki so she doesn't have the embarrasment of such a bad song whereas Nicki is building a short list of shits. February 10, 20169 yr Bitch probably isn't the worst song of her career, or the worst single (hey there REVULVAH) but it scores very highly on the hate chart for me because of how much she clearly loves it, when it is SO FAR from what she should be doing or even thinking of doing. Rebel Heart showed us that she can still make fantastic, poignant, music that can rank in the upper tier of her career (Ghostown in particular is probably in my Madonna top 10 at this point, time will tell if it stays there or not, of course). But for her to then also make something like this, it's almost like she has a split personality.
February 11, 20169 yr Author Spadz SCALPING the song :') Like A Prayer should be here in all honesty. Lamfooo What's that mean
February 14, 20169 yr I actually really like 'Bitch I'm Madonna'. :') I know it's not the path she should be treading anywhere near but as a one off I'm fine with it. The demo (which is available on Diplo's Soundcloud) is even better.
February 15, 20169 yr Author Don't you give up, its not so bad zqKTcWJoXvs 03. Hey You / 85 points Taking the bronze spoon.. :') Hey You, co-produced by Pharrell and released in 2007 as part of a charity campaign for Live Earth is a bluesy, folsky, stripped back ballad. It's a nice enough message but a little "simple" for her standards and nowhere near a highlight of her career. I can see why it is hated too - incredibly monotonous and cheesy and lacking in any real depth oop. Still it's for a good cause so let's not knock it too much (although i'm sure it would've raised a lot more money if it was a better song lol). :mansoncheer: 03. Hey You 04. Bitch I'm Madonna 05. Did You Do It? 06. S.E.X. 07. Spanish Lesson 08. Shoo-Bee-Doo 09. Girl Gone Wild 10. Candy Shop
February 15, 20169 yr 'Hey You' is like an incredibly cheap attempt of creating her own 'Imagine' by John Lennon (which she covered live at a similar time to this) which is partly why I hate it (not that I'd mind Madonna making her own 'Imagine' but, when it's as dire as this, it just totally discredits the impact of John's). The whole "first love yourself..." verse is the lowest point of her entire life.
February 16, 20169 yr I don't hate Hey You. In fact I quite like it. It's certainly not in her 10 worst songs at any rate.
February 16, 20169 yr Author I have had 'Hey You' stuck in my head ever since posting about it here :drama:
February 16, 20169 yr Hey you def was her attempt at another imagine. It is rather harmless tho. Goes and plays the song !!!
February 16, 20169 yr Good girls don't misbehave, but I'm a bad girl, anyway tYkwziTrv5o 09. Girl Gone Wild / 38 points Next up it's the second single off Madonna's 12th album, the hugely divisive 'MDNA'. The single was far from a chart smash but like much of the album it had its huge fans and went on to become a bit of a cult hit for her, even getting a few plays in *select* clubs across the country~ I'm a huge fan of 'MDNA' and don't even deny it now and while this is FAR from an album highlight, it's still a fun, banging number and really shouldn't be taken too seriously - which is probably why it doesn't really work as a single for her and why its featured here. Totally bonkers, explosive, dance beats but you don't want to have this sort of fun, as you've put out its fire and it limps in as the 9th worst song from M :mansoncheer: 09. Girl Gone Wild 10. Candy Shop :( this song is sfg thooo
February 16, 20169 yr Hey You is vile. it was the first song she wrote by herself in years and it proved she should never do that again.
February 16, 20169 yr Author The top 2 will be announced soon. What has buzzjack named as the worst Madonna song? Autotune Baby vs B-Day Song :o Any preferences / predictions?
February 16, 20169 yr You got me hyped just then when you said 'Spanish Lesson' was still in for the running, but I'm guessing you meant 'Autotune Baby'? (easily the worst though). :P
