Danny L Harle getting another week :D if that helps it scrap into the iTunes top 40 briefly that'd be pretty awesome

Sir Fetty back on the A List *.*!

Rationale the highlight of the additions this week

Beyonce and Kanye!

Bai DJ fresh.

Beyonce, Kanye and Lapsley are my main faves

The Drake, Rationale and Mount could be growers tbh

Louis The child too *.*

great additions this week for MOUNT and rationale~ :cheer:

apart from a few notable exceptions, that a-list is an abortion :manson:

OUT

Shift K3Y feat. BB Diamond - Gone Missing [A List]

Err :(

Nothing much exciting this week, and I'm not a big fan of that Beyoncé song. At least the A-list has had a nice clearout though. Shawn Mendes getting an incredible 11th week on the playlist, matching 'Adventure Of A Lifetime' and only one week short of matching 'Hello's run!

I guess it's fair to say now that they're not going to support the Fleur single...

I guess it's fair to say now that they're not going to support the Fleur single...

I still can't see them snubbing her personally- apparently they're still going to bring out a video for the single so it's got a while to go yet i'd say

I dunno what the hell is going on with more and more - capital have moved it off playlist just as it was gaining some momentum - after it was on CBB it went up the chart! it's now not played on any radio station and the video isn't out there's no promo she had one performance of it a month ago and that climbed up to 55 on iTunes then slid down there no promo for it whatsoever - if isn't play listed and played to death soon they May aswell not bother with it and move on! They're taking forever with it it's like they ain't bothered. She needs a new team

The only other reason could be impact week is ages away - I'm just lost as to what is going on - it's a decent song radio friendly and could actually do well given the chance

Some big additions with new Drake, Beyoncé & Kanye - feels like Pillowtalk should/was A listed weeks ago!
It's not uncommon for an upcoming single to get a performance weeks before impact date (see 'Army' and 'When We Were Young' for instance); it's like a way of showing the public that this is their new single and to look out for it in coming weeks. Not always ideal but you'd be foolish to out right ignore a promo slot. The main problem is Capital's tendency to playlist songs way before impact date and their inability to support singles if they're not an instant hit, despite a reason like their impact date being far away. Radio remains key for getting a song to be a hit I think (whereas streaming can prolong the amount of time it's a hit for).

I think a good example of a song that got a performance way before its impact date (or release in this case) is Cheryl's Crazy Stupid Love. Performed on Britain's Got Talent just days after premiere and it kept the pre-order in the top 100 on iTunes for pretty much the entire lead up to its release, and no doubt played a huge part in securing it the #1. It can be beneficial but like Liam said, Capital dropping Fleur's song instantly really is ridiculous and it's far from what we need in the days of OA/OS and streaming.

That's soo annoying - so you think if it gains more momentum they will playlist it again or are they

Just gonna do a total snub of Fleur now? Even though they're still playing sax they need to replace sax with more and more!

Yeah you're right though it's probably weeks away hence why the video has only just been done and yeah she would

Be silly to turn away NTA! Just have to wait and see

And Jess Glynn been in capital playlist for over a month And she isn't exactly Setting charts alight with her new song it's so unfair to Fleur she had a week of more and more lol I dunno what to say music industry is annoying

If you look at 75% of songs in the charts these days, they take at least a month to impact and climb the chart - in some cases more. Ain't Got Far To Go is sure to be a solid hit come spring, and is getting backed by radio as it's been fully pushed as a song, however the only push More and More has is some airplay and a live performance.

That's what I mean and I love Jess new song by the way

I think more and more just isn't going to get radio support so should just move on with something else - tho I am looking forward to the video

Btw if you do look at Capitals most played song it is getting a fair bit of air so it's not all bad :D
