The fall for Make Me since this discount was taken away is making me nuseous. She had a positive radio update today probably because it was so high on iTunes. But that's not going to continue because it's fallen from 25 to 40 in little over a day.

:snif: Horrid decision to increase it. Now it has a mountain to climb following the VMAs & Carpool.

RCA's executive manager sent this out to US radio yesterday :o :

The title of the article is “Nothing can ‘Make Me’ stop working this record,” declares Riccitelli. “Are you with us?” Riccitelli is the executive manager at RCA. The fact that he sent e-mails and a letter to the radio stations is awesome. And the fact that Make Me gained +33 spins yesterday after declining for a week straight...

In a letter to radio professionals, RCA makes the case to keep supporting Britney Spears' "Make Me (featuring G-Eazy)."

The letter:

To our partners in radio,

How do you measure a record? When you think about a song and if it deserves one of the slots on your playlist, what do you look at?

* Is it sales? (+40% this week)

* Is it streams? (23 million, +22%)

* Is it Shazam? (Top 30)

* Is it YouTube views? (17 million)

* Is it research? (#1 Rate The Music)

Or do you measure a record being -2% in spins due to syndication? One that probably hasn't been played 200X (at your station) since only 15 out of 175 stations have.

Nothing can "Make Me" stop working this records. Are you with us?.

 Reassuring to read that RCA isn't going to give up on the single that easily.

Amazing! I think this is the hardest they've tried, ever!

All extremely valid points though and I love how this era is looking from both the labels perspective and Britney's own too. She seems a lot more at ease answering questions this time round on interviews and things and seems like she actually wants to talk about the music. It's definitely the albums she's been wanting to make for the best part of a decade!

It's kinda mute though because it's having a huge sales decrease this week due to the discount being taken away. So if radios did give it more of a chance they won't for long. This next week should turn it all around though.
51 (43) Make Me... [5 weeks] Billboard

WW: #82 (+6) Make Me... [591,405 plays]

US: #56 (+15) Make Me... [299,038 plays]

It's still VERY stable on Spotify. It needs to do a lot better, but it's about 100x more stable than Pretty Girls was. When the album is released, it'll have a very decent boost on streaming too, the lead singles always do.

Apparently this is back on sale for 0.69

Yesss! And it's featured in hot songs in the US too. PLEASE sort out the iTunes issues so we can watch it climb

Why can't they just discount it in the UK??

As I mentioned before when you asked, Sony Uk don't like discounting new songs :)

Fair enough, but it's been out like 5 weeks! :D

When I say new I mean as in from the past year or 2.

Oh really? Haha :P

Given the fact this is top 10 on iTunes already and there's still a VMAs performance to come in 2 days, and Spotify is spamming her with streaming promo, this could very well re-peak this week!
OMFG TOP TEN HIT, HERE WE COME!!!!!
The discount should stop it from freefalling too much between now and Sunday, too.
I have clicked with this so much recently, I'm loving it so much  Definitely my fave Britney track!
