Welcome to Round 11 of least fave Destiny's Child single, and after the last round, there was a double elimination, which now leaves just 8 left. One song received by far the most votes and was way ahead of the others with 10 votes, "Soldier", which wasn't a surprise and the other one was "Emotion", which received 6 votes, going head to head with "Bug A Boo" which gained 5 votes. Now this was quite a surprise, as it never received more than 2 votes in any other round, but as the rounds go on and more and more fall by the wayside, there's bound to be a few surprises along the way.

First up finishing in 10th place, "Soldier", which was released in December 2004 as the 2nd single from their 4th album "Destiny Fulfilled", making this the 3rd from this era to fall, leaving only the lead single left. The song did well upon release and continued their momentum of their successful comeback by reaching #3 in the USA, becoming their 10th and final top 10 hit, and in the UK it peaked at #4, becoming another success for them there also. To be honest, I loved the lead single "LMB" and had high expectations for the new album from them, but honestly I found it very disappointing and while this one is one of the better tracks on the album, it still doesn't cut it. An obvious attempt for street cred with it's more Urban sound, it just lacks anything interesting or special about it, just half assed and kinda dull track that doesn't really go where it needs to be.

Finishing in 9th place is the much better song "Emotion", released in October 2001 as the 4th single from their 3rd album "Survivor". Originally sung by Samantha Sang in 1977 and well I must say that they do a very decent job of it, a heartfelt R&B ballad where their harmonies are very beautiful and tight, while marking a refreshing change of pace for the girls at the time, who weren't known for ballads at the time and manages to pull it off wonderfully. Originally "Nasty Girl" was gonna be the 4th single, but due to 9/11 and their moods changing, they felt a more sombre effort would be fitting, and it works. It became a success upon release reaching #10 in the USA, while faring much better in the UK, by reaching #3.

"Soldier" might actually be the first big casualty for me. Had it been the other way around the results would have been PERFECT.

Now they're a solid 6.5/10

Okay, not it's getting serious.
