Something about the lyrics to '7 Years' I just can't take seriously. Only heard it infrequently and mainly when at the gym but they seem too try-hard and over earnest for me.

Yeah I agree, the lyrics are really banal.

they are not Shakespeare but better than the usual chart act, I kinda like the bit about being old and being ok if your kids visits you once a month, find it quite touching

It's a GRAT from the re-release of their album. They've had loads of support from Radio 1 over the last year, so it's not surprising they've built up a fanbase. It's good to see them doing well and adding more variety to the charts.

All Saints really shouldn't have released on a Tuesday if they were to stand any chance of scraping a chart entry.
