March 2, 201610 yr aside from the terminally dull #1 ~ that top5 is now looking rather good ^_^ delighted with how well riton is holding up~ :cheer:
March 2, 201610 yr Does Scotland count towards the UK Charts or do they have separate charts? Because if so, her two shows in Belfast might be part of the reason why her sales are quite impressive this week. Oh my that geography is a tad worrying. Firstly the Belfast/Scotland part and secondly the is Scotland (2nd largest UK nation) part of UK sales.
March 2, 201610 yr Out of intetest every other jess glynne song has gone top 10 yes? I know the album has been out 9 moths plus but to miss top 40 is shocking by her standards
March 2, 201610 yr Author Out of intetest every other jess glynne song has gone top 10 yes? I know the album has been out 9 moths plus but to miss top 40 is shocking by her standards They have all gone top 10 before but it really isn't shocking lol. The album has sold absolutely loads and this is the sixth single from it. Take Me Home wouldn't have done quite so well without the Children In Need exposure I imagine so it's making this look worse than it actually is. Taylor Swift is an even bigger artist overall yet the sixth single from 1989 didn't even trouble the sales top 100. This is doing fine. Not amazingly, but fine.

Firstly the Belfast/Scotland part and secondly the is Scotland (2nd largest UK nation) part of UK sales. I was just wondering if the charts were different in that Scotland has it's own separate charts. No need to be so condescending. And the Belfast part, I had a mind blank. Oops. That's a little embarrassing I must confess. Do forgive me. Edited March 2, 201610 yr by MishaB
March 2, 201610 yr ^^ Sorry no intention to be condescending, I just genuinely found it surprising. Also I live in Belfast, and there's enough Irish/British nationality confusion in this country without throwing Scottish into the mix hehehe :P

Yes but style didnt really trouble tye top 20 because of her streaming stubborness and that waa the third Bad blood probably wouldnt have trouble top 10 if it basically waant made a kendrick lemar song so was brand new Wildest dreams ok barely scraped top 40 to agin woulda done better with streaming not just apple music and out of the woods well yes it is her 6th sing from tje album but when that was released but that was in january 15 months after the album was released it had sold close to a million wildest dreams had just scrapped top 40 very little streaming with only apple music and tidal if that even does anything here Jess glynne has streaming though and tbh Taylor Swift might be massive worldwide but jess glynne is the bigger star in the uk and take me home was still doing well 3 months after children in need and she only sold half a million copies of her album so yoir comparison is a little off Fyi im a massive fan of both TS and JG
March 2, 201610 yr Tinie should manage top 15 as his streams are picking up. He'll more likely go top 10 next week Edited March 2, 201610 yr by Hadji
March 2, 201610 yr Tinie should manage top 15 as his streams are picking up. He'll more likely go top 10 next week Yeah, I can see Tinie ahead of Riton this Friday.

Take Me Home did show longevity but would it have gotten as high in the first place without CIN? I'm not sure. That's my point anyway. Ain't Got Far To Go is vastly outperforming Out of the Woods on *sales alone*, and although Taylor is the bigger star (yes, in the UK too), Jess' single is doing better. It was simply a comparison between two sixth singles. I like both too for the record.
March 2, 201610 yr you cannot compare it like that!!!!!!!!!! Out of the Woods is the 5th post album single Ain't got Too Far is the 2nd post album single
March 2, 201610 yr Either way, you've got to assume that the vast majority of people who would be likely to invest in a 6th single at this point in a campaign are going to already have the album. 6th singles don't traditionally set the world on fire.
March 3, 201610 yr Author you cannot compare it like that!!!!!!!!!! Out of the Woods is the 5th post album single Ain't got Too Far is the 2nd post album single Well I did :P both are single #6 from a big selling album. I think my entire point is being missed here but whatever.
March 3, 201610 yr Well I did :P both are single #6 from a big selling album. I think my entire point is being missed here but whatever. for a proper comparison, compare this Jess track (her 2nd post-album single) with Taylor´s 2nd post-1989 single, that would be Style, which did far better... don't think you can compare 6th singles if one album has had just the 1 single before the album and the other has had like 4... it's like saying oh Sweet Nothing ws the 6th single off 18 Months and went to #1... sure, but it was still a pre-album single :D
