I'm really sad I couldn't enter my song, I was really pleased to be entering it :'( I just didn't have time to find something else quickly enough.

I think seeing as the artist in Pupok's is featured, where as it is the main artist in Rontiva's then we should just delete the featured line and play none the wiser :lol:

I don't really think it's fair on either of us, as I definitely entered my artist name as feat Franka Potente so I don't understand why there could've been any confusion during the confirmations :unsure: one song is half in German and the other is fully English, can't we just leave it?

I think at this stage it doesn't really matter, it's a spinoff so it's not like we have to be super strict with the rules and Franka Potente is hardly a big name!

Please do remember guys that we've tried something brand new, so there will be teething issues with using this Google Spreadsheet rather than manually creating a spreadsheet. Of course with it all being automated, the host and mods don't become as familiar as they would've done when receiving individual PMs. However this is all part of a learning curve, and we know now that we have to be extra careful with duplicate artists in future. In my personal opinion I think in this instance we can just leave both entries in especially with one only being a feature, if that's okay with Rich and Lotti also as we don't want either of you to get disadvantaged in anyway due to split votes although I can't see that happening with the low profile of the artist in question.

From what I gather Jack asked you both in the confirmations thread and via PM to submit details via the form, yet you ignored this on both occasions. You may think we are being awkward in ignoring your confirmation, but I think it's just as awkward of you, if not more so, to not spending 2 minutes to sort out a Google Account when this will save us hours of time for just two minutes of your time. I'm a big fan of yours Ethan, but on this occasion I feel like its just being awkward for the sake of it.

 

 

As long as Rich is happy I'm fine with that decision! They're pretty different genre wise too tbh, and like I mentioned earlier they are still even different languages! :)

as for the confirmation thread, I haven't been quoted so it's rather easy to miss... how convenient though that at the last moment it's suddenly mandatory, when as furlong points out the first post is somewhat ambiguous and says 'please try' and implies that if you can't a PM will suffice.

 

i fail to see how on earth dealing with 1 confirmation, in the same manner as the previous 100+ contests, adds 'hours' of time?! a laughable claim! sorry ryan, but you're being rather disingenuous, to say the least, blindly supporting a line which is wholly untenable~

 

the truth is J▲hq's sole motivation to 'ignore' my entry is his personal dislike of me as a poster! pathetic! :manson:

As I said, this is what I assumed but I have no idea of private PMs so I don't know exactly what has been asked.

 

That was seemingly poor wording admittedly, but my assumption was you'd been asked via multiple methods to use the form and you still didn't and if that's not the case then maybe Jack can shed some light on it.

 

I am not being disingenuous at all, my point is that if everyone uses this form it will save hours of time for a host as they won't have to manually make the spreadsheets as previously was the case and that still stands. Of course adding one entry manually doesn't take hours, but I don't understand why it was so difficult for you to spend a couple of minutes to sort out a Google Account as 35+ other people were able to?

 

But as I say, let's wait for Jack as he will know the full ins and outs of this whereas I'm just making assumptions that may be incorrect!

I'm not being funny but you are coming off as rather pathetic yourself here Ethan. I confirmed three different songs with the form so I fail to see how you couldn't use the form in the first place. It takes just as much time as filling out a PM. ALSO they didn't say anything about adding hours of time but it makes sense to have all the confirmations coming from one place rather than a few posters doing it via pm and then a few posters doing it via the Form. That would just be a pain. Get that stick out your ass and get ready for your own BJSC contest and forget about this one since its already started.

Why did y'all not accept it this one time (given it is the first time like y'all said) and informed Ethan about the fact that next time they won't be accepted?
