For all these kind of "favourite song of..." types questions mine's always Pendulum's 'The Tempest' but for the purposes of this thread I'll stick to songs released as singles in which case I can't choose between these 3:

Alesso's 'Cool' is starting to push right up there too.

I didn't have a chart before 2014.

ahh I thought you meant run in your chart

Sorry for being thick :P

Girls Aloud are easily my favourite music act of the century thus far, and I consider this to be their ultimate hit. It was always a massive highlight in the set lists of their tours, hence the numerous re-entries (I went to see them a fair few times :kink: ).

Given that chart run, it should be no surprise that it was the most successful single of 2006 in my personal charts. It achieved great longevity to the extent that it managed as high as 9th in my 2007 EOY!

In terms of the UK charts, 'Something Kinda Ooooh' was the first British-artist single to debut in the top five on the chart based on legal download sales alone; it entered at #5. It went on to peak at #3, and spent three months in the Top 40 (which in 2006 terms was pretty good going x). It was the 36th best selling single of that year.

I can't quite believe this song is hurtling towards its 10th anniversary! It remains fresh-sounding to me, undoubtedly one of my favourite songs of all-time, and most certainly my favourite song released from 2006 to the present day.
