The first song out is the final track on the album 'Mer Girl'. The track is a subdued number with Madonna reflecting on the death of her mother and contemplating life and mortality as she explores the spiritual themes of the album once more. With some graphic imagery conjured up and a haunting yet insanely sombre close to the album, it's reflective not only in terms of the themes of the song (life and looking back on it) but also on the album and the journey it has taken you on. It's a beautiful, entrancing close but ultimately not the most engrossing or easy-listening song on it which might explain why it is first out.

Little Star for me, it's another great song, but once again this is an album of incredible songs so it was quite an easy choice.

Looks like a close round between Shanti/Ashtangi and Little Star! The former is more adventurous and interesting but the latter is so soft and sweet so that to stay please.
