I've been rewatching the past few contests recently and it reminded me of how good some of the interval acts have been, so I thought we should have a little topic about it! I've defined the main interval act for each contest as being the usually 5-8 minutes long live act that follows the close of voting. Of course feel free to discuss other parts of interval acts, such as Loreen's medley or Sarah Dawn Finer's 'Winner Takes It All' in 2013, the winner's medley in the second semi-final in 2012 featuring the likes of Lena and Alexander Rybak, Martin Grubinger's drumming show last year, or perhaps the 'Ode to Joy' in 2014 with the people singing on ladders.

But as a reminder, here are what I class as the main 6 interval acts so far this decade which you can vote on above:

Oslo 2010 - Flashmob with Madcon performing 'Glow'

Düsseldorf 2011 - Jan Delay performing 'Oh Jonny' and 'Klar'

Baku 2012 - Traditional music leading into Emin performing 'Never Enough'

Malmö 2013 - Petra Mede performing 'Swedish Smörgåsbord'

Copenhagen 2014 - Emmelie de Forest performing 'Only Teardrops' and 'Rainmaker' with all 26 finalists

Vienna 2015 - Conchita Wurst performing 'You Are Unstoppable' and 'Firestorm'

2010, 2013 and 2014 are way ahead of the other three for me. Most people will go for 2013 I imagine because it's Sweden, but for me 2010 is the best. The flashmob was such a simple yet clever idea and it felt so special to have all of Europe dancing together! I struggle to see an interval act ever beating that one for me, it was just perfection.

Petra would be second with me, typical Swedish comedy interval act that was perfect for the Eurovision fan community and home crowd. Emmelie close behind in third as all the acts coming on stage together to sing 'Rainmaker' was a special moment, and it was even more special when the crowd and Emmelie carried on singing even after the music stopped.

The other three are unmemorable for me, but a special shout-out to the 2012 second semi-final with the 5 previous winners doing a medley. It was a little bit of a mess and under-rehearsed but very fun all the same and should've probably been the interval act for the final instead. On the other hand the ladder thing in 2014 was very strange, and apparently that was originally supposed to be much longer than it was.

Yeah it was a longer act than what we saw. It was a trip to the future with countries like Brazil and China taking part in the Eurovision. It was something like 5 acts trying to outsing each other in very high concept outfits.

The ladders came only towards the end as some sort of conclusion and the outfits were never those white ones.

Petra for me, it was absolutely hilarious, especially the wind machine blowing Carola over

Has to be Copengaen, 2014. I really like Emelie De Forest and she is my favourite winner from the last couple of years, i still love rainmaker.
2014 for me too. Rainmaker is such an anthem (I prefer it to Only Teardrops) and bringing on all the finalists was such a good touch.

Petra was utterly outstanding. Remains a highlight for me. Especially when combined with Lynda Woodruff and then Sarah DF singing "The Winner Takes It All". Glorious.

Hoping for something equally as awesome from SVT this year
