Ah, well done Tim as well, I did like that and I'm sad I couldn't fit it into my votes, it was a wonderful throwback to late 90s cheese which I kinda have a soft spot for and the contrast between this winner and the last is amazingly wide *.* Great to see Seyetana in the top 10, if mainly just for improving the quality a bit as there wasn't much else I voted for in there at all oops :x What happened with Jadakissnia, Skall & Singerpurear? :(

Congrats Tim, I don't normally like pure pop songs in BJSC but there was definitely something to '10.000 Luchtballonnen' so it's only right that be the song that returns pop to the BJSC throne. Great to see Oliver finally getting a big hit too. Predictable top 2 (even though I never predicted it cos I didn't think Mendoza would actually live up to its hype lol), but both very good songs so no complaints.

 

I'm not a big fan of most of the rest of the top 10 but yay for Pupok getting another top 5 (that last second resurgence totally passed me by until I actually posted my final scoreboard!) and ESPECIALLY for the excellent 'Tanz Mit Mir' getting Séyetana another top 10, and in 10th place as per tradition *.* I had been secretly thinking it might manage exactly that the other day so I claim myself to be psychic. Feel a little sorry for Sam just missing out on a first top 10 again... but I hated her sang so not too sorry lol :kink:

 

Had a moment of believing I might have somehow kept up my 2016 top 20 streak but ultimately very happy with 25th, can't really expect a hip-hop song to do much better than that and I was pretty surprised it even qualified. Thanks to those who voted for it! x My next entry is going to be another infectious Arabic bop to celebrate the 10 contest anniversary of A-WA (:magic:), I don't think it'll do anywhere remotely near as well as 'Habib Galbi' (it's more like a shorter/poppier version of Omar Souleyman 'Enssa El Aatab') but I'm looking forward to seeing people's reactions to it anyway.

12th. It's been many moons since I hit that (I think the last was Bon Voyage about 25 contests ago) so YAY (especially given how DISMAL this year has been so far compared to 2015)

A Yehesi win was the best realistic outcome (especially given the contenders surrounding them)! 10.000 Luchtballonnen is very fun and a cool throwback to that late 90s/early noughties cheese pop. So yeah, congrats Tim!

 

Other than that the top 10 looks kinda...... eh, just not a lot i cared for. Well I liked Rain Man, Mahmut Orhan wasn't too bad either though i wasn't huge on Mendoza or Kungs, and didn't like the Girli/Ricki Lee songs *cue the attacks*. It gets worse when you glance outside the Top 30 and see the great entries from FARC, Daehun, Singerpurear et al -_- This is why we can't ever trust you people

SO glad Unovia is top 10, was expecting Ricki-Lee to face the same injustice as Reigan. My top 3 pointers are all 29th or lower (FARC/Rontvia/Ethanola) so I'm definitely not thrilled at the results overall but oh well. Thanks Ethan for hosting while traveling, it's a shame the timing conflicted like that I'm sure. Hope you enjoyed yourself anyway :P

First of all, thanks to all the voters that let the light in and gave me points, especially those 7 (??) 18's :wub:

It's amazing to see the reaction to K3, as they've been around for the whole of my childhood (in different lineups, the sugababes teas are real, but still) and have always been a slight guilty pleasure.

 

Second of all, I won't be able to host this contest as I am stressing the f*** out for my exams that start at the end of may, so I cannot have this extra load on my shoulders. I'll happily pass my hosting rights over to Oliver (I think). Now watch me never win again and never have the chance to host this ish :')
