This is the biggest PR stunt I've ever seen. If she wasn't even able to see the final version of the video before it was released (which I seriously doubt) then I very much doubt she has the power to take the video down herself. The songs received an awful response and this is a desperate attempt and getting it more focus.

a couple of people on an online forum is not an 'awful response' there have been people loving the track too..
if it's a publicity stunt then it's definitely worked. I never would have heard about this song if it wasn't for radio 1 drumming this news down my throat today so well done to her. but it's a shame the songs still shit tho.
I think it's really boring to hate on Mehgan tbh. People and the general public are so basic and boring.

Literally my first thought when I saw about this was that it was a calculated and cynical marketing ploy to try and paint her in a good light.

P.S. I'm not "hating" on Meghan, I like a few of her songs and I'm sure she's a lovely girl but she is inept as a popstar and has nothing in the way of star quality, she's got lucky.

I like Meghan a lot. She is very humble, yet confident. People that take her music too seriously are jokes.

But yes, sorry... this SCREAMS PR/publicity stunt. And it's kinda worked, never heard so much about her on radio/twitter etc. Kinda sticking with the whole, I am who I am thing.

I'm glad other people said that it seems like a stunt, I was going to post it yesterday because it was the first thing that occurred to me when I saw it but didn't want to seem too negative.

It seems like a desperate attempt to cement Meghan's 'brand'. As if, after All About That Bass, they'd try and make her look skinny. And as if they'd put out a photoshopped video without A) Showing her B) Thinking she wouldn't mind/notice if they changed her body after she has been so 'f*** those skinny bitches' in the past. Onviously, it isn't necessarily Meghan's fault, it could have been the record company that pushed for the drama.

The song really isn't good either, 'No' remains her only good single.

You were right to think it tbf.

I don't think I've ever heard of an artist not seeing the video first before released to the general masses.

I think the "hate" towards Meghan is just down to the material she's released. It's all pretty novelty and cheap, and doesn't really have much lasting appeal that the general public will gear towards.

I adore 'Like I'm Gonna Lose You' and I really think it's the sort of market she should be heading towards as it really suits her sound! But with so many singles which were much more novelty, her time was to be limited. Luckily for her, 'No' seemed to have gained some attention from not only her limited fanbase, but the casual listener... 'Me Too' seems to just undo all of that and the lyrics are so pretentious. 'No' delivered the message in a much more superior/clever and inventive way, that it got people on her side. People were loving the 90's throwback. This is just pure trash (and not the hot messy kind) for me.

I don't know. I just think she gets far more success than she actually deserves, coz majority of her stuff has been incredibly sub-par. I understand her message and what she stands for, and I approve of all that.

If she continued to release stuff like I'm Gonna Lose You I would be done with her. It's also her worst performing single?

I don't get why she can't release fun pop music like No and Me Too, everyone is so serious and boring with music these days. I really enjoy her injecting a bit of fun back into it. Much rather that than Ed Sheeran and Adele tbh.

Yeah. The Meghan hate thing is really tired now. Literally if she was a toothpick, she'd have the 1989 hype.

She really wouldn't. Her material is nothing like Taylor's. Very mediocre. Her size has nothing to do with the shit material IMHO.

Also the photoshop thing was all a publicity stunt for the album being released FRIDAY. Clear as day.

How do we know if Meghan gets the final say on the music video?

I admire her for putting out a messege, she's unhappy that she's been photoshopped! If something similar happened to Beyonce would we sit here and claim it's a PR stunt?

Dunno about anyone else, but I can say, yes.
Reeks of a PR stunt. Song is awful anyway.

100% - there isn't any doubt in my mind. How can she not see the final edit before her video goes out? Are we f***ing stupid? Even if she didn't see the video (Which she did), why isn't she involved in the release of her new video anyway? Especially if its supposedly so important to her??

even more so. beyonce not having final approval of a video would be mental
