Briding the gap from her 2 most successful singles eras in the US, Circus and Femme Fatale, "3" debuted at #1 on the Hot 100 and reached #2 on radio's Top40/Pop songs. Over in Europe peaked in the top10 in the UK, Switzerland, Sweden, France, Ireland, Belgium and Finland. Its worst chart placings were Spain (#38), and Netherlands (#57). Elsewhere it managed a #1 in Canada and a top10 in Australia.

I love it! It seems to be a favourite of non Britney stans too.

I really disliked it at the time because it was so generic, but I've grown to like it now. But it does seem weird how its a #1 hit for her when songs like Oops and Toxic couldnt manage that due to the circumstances back then. It makes her singles peak look odd

I ADORE it. It was perfect for the gap between 'Circus' and 'Femme Fatale'. And I believe it was a smart idea to attract new fans by releasing it with The Singles Collection.

I think it's fabulous. I know so many people who think it's crap but I found it so addictive at the time. Still a jam, too.

One of her weaker efforts for me, I'd probably fall just about into the lower 3rd of her singles. It just feels rather lazy I just love all the singles that sandwiched it too, so it feels even weaker.

It's just so full of energy, exactly what I expected from Britney. Glad to know I'm not in the minority!

 

I could deal with "Whatcha Say" blocking this from #1 but getting leapfrogged by "Replay" made me a bit salty - I love all three tracks but Britney over one-hit wonder Iyaz any day

I love it! It's such a fun song but it's great to dance/workout to. That final breakdown :o And you can see she had fun in the video.

I remember I was on holiday in Spain when it was released and I listened to it non-stop. It was my song of that holiday so it holds fond memories.

Plus, it's still very much a staple on the gay scene. I hear it when I go out in Manchester all the time.

I have a love/hate relationship with '3'. It seriously depends what sort of mood I'm in and whether or not I can be bothered to listen to it. It's ok overall though. There's something credible about it that prevents it from being a complete novelty song.

Gimme More? :lol: was that video even finished? The videos like a one take loop of her lipping to the chorus to be filtered around a main video.
