Posted May 8, 20169 yr "3" was released in 2009 as the lead single from her Singles Collection. Briding the gap from her 2 most successful singles eras in the US, Circus and Femme Fatale, "3" debuted at #1 on the Hot 100 and reached #2 on radio's Top40/Pop songs. Over in Europe peaked in the top10 in the UK, Switzerland, Sweden, France, Ireland, Belgium and Finland. Its worst chart placings were Spain (#38), and Netherlands (#57). Elsewhere it managed a #1 in Canada and a top10 in Australia. oTs6oQx1WJY So what do you think of Britney's threesome song and it's video? Edited May 8, 20169 yr by Euphorique
May 8, 20169 yr Author I really disliked it at the time because it was so generic, but I've grown to like it now. But it does seem weird how its a #1 hit for her when songs like Oops and Toxic couldnt manage that due to the circumstances back then. It makes her singles peak look odd
May 8, 20169 yr I ADORE it. It was perfect for the gap between 'Circus' and 'Femme Fatale'. And I believe it was a smart idea to attract new fans by releasing it with The Singles Collection.
May 8, 20169 yr I think it's fabulous. I know so many people who think it's crap but I found it so addictive at the time. Still a jam, too.
May 8, 20169 yr One of her weaker efforts for me, I'd probably fall just about into the lower 3rd of her singles. It just feels rather lazy I just love all the singles that sandwiched it too, so it feels even weaker.
May 8, 20169 yr It's just so full of energy, exactly what I expected from Britney. Glad to know I'm not in the minority! I could deal with "Whatcha Say" blocking this from #1 but getting leapfrogged by "Replay" made me a bit salty - I love all three tracks but Britney over one-hit wonder Iyaz any day
May 9, 20169 yr I love it! It's such a fun song but it's great to dance/workout to. That final breakdown :o And you can see she had fun in the video. I remember I was on holiday in Spain when it was released and I listened to it non-stop. It was my song of that holiday so it holds fond memories. Plus, it's still very much a staple on the gay scene. I hear it when I go out in Manchester all the time. Edited May 9, 20169 yr by Scherz
May 9, 20169 yr DONT FORGET THE DIRECTOR'S CUT OF 3. 10 million times better than the original. Why they didn't include those scenes, I'll never know. CC0BCk0QnYk
May 9, 20169 yr Author She has such a pretty shade of brown eyes. Its more noticeable in this video and on I Love Rock & Roll
May 10, 20169 yr I have a love/hate relationship with '3'. It seriously depends what sort of mood I'm in and whether or not I can be bothered to listen to it. It's ok overall though. There's something credible about it that prevents it from being a complete novelty song.
May 10, 20169 yr Besides 'womanizer', its her only video since 'everytime' that she looks like she wanted to be there.
May 10, 20169 yr Besides 'womanizer', its her only video since 'everytime' that she looks like she wanted to be there. My Prerogative, Do Somethin', Gimme More, Criminal, Ooh La La, Work Bitch and Pretty Girls all say hi. And the only video she looks like she's unbothered is TTWE, Piece of Me and S&S.
May 10, 20169 yr Oh I forgot about MP & DS. You're right there! Gimme More? was that video even finished? The videos like a one take loop of her lipping to the chorus to be filtered around a main video.
