I liked Jean Tonique :( that crew is fairly impossible to please (though when 4 of them apparently dislike Otra Era, their opinions clearly don't hold much weight)

Voted in both semi's.

Semi 2 was an absolute tragedy, but semi 1 was was quite good, apart from a few horrible duds.

 

Overall the quality is shit tho

Just voted in Semi 2 and it was a real struggle to find anything I absolutely adored :lol:

You know, everyone, this might well be the weakest contest this year at the moment but don't count it out yet, I relistened to my semi and I found three songs that have wormed their way back into my 'possibly getting points' zone through being growers. They may well not make my points so on a practical level the point may be moot but I'm still finding things to enjoy here, at about or just below my normal level of enjoyment.

 

Probably plenty more of those growers waiting in the wings after a couple more listens.

Well there's like quite a few 8/10s but nothing really higher for me, but still, decent semi personally.

I quite enjoyed my top 5 and I'm happy that my 12 pointer is by a country whose entries I haven't loved properly for a while. However, it's only really my top 10 that I thought was worthy enough to give points to, so in terms of consistency and lack of commiserations the semi wasn't that great, but my top 5 was quite fabulouso :dance:

I have now voted~ I was going to echo the calls that Semi 1 was very weak (though apparently Semi 2 was even worse so maybe I got off lucky :x), but on the second listen, a lot of the songs grew on me and I did end up with a very solid top 10 (and a GREAT 12 pointer that I hope does very well indeed <33) and a few commiserations, seems there was just a lot more growers than usual.

 

Not sure what to expect for myself here, but I am pleased with those Dubtrack stats considering the harsh reaction to some of the other entries ^_^ (and I definitely see why FARC got the strongest reaction, total standout <3)

will vote tomorrow, finalising positions, 20 down to 15 now, so another 5 to sadly boot out of points. semi 2 overall is pretty decent, all very well-made, but few "wow" moments.

well that was a bit of a chore but i found enough to like, 14 songs were all varying shades of decent enough
