I just find it funny that exactly the same arguments are being thrown out for this as Eurovision. Even if a *little* bit of "bloc voting" does happen (not saying that it does) the results aren't the same every time, winners vary a lot (looking at previous results). I'm voting on the songs, half the countries I haven't even matched up with people yet. Already picked out a few front runners from semi 1. If someone I like sends a song I'm less keen on, or if I simply feel that 10 others are stronger I'll express my disappointment to them and vote accordingly.

I don't think anyone suggested anyone won purely because of bloc support :lol:

Even if blocvoting exists it won't affect the winners as winners need more than just bloc support :lol:

 

Case in point - K3, able through sheer friendliness of song to get even people who rarely vote for the poppiest of songs to all let their hair down and come together in glorious cutesy Dutch pop unison.
