We do have mids today, but we've decided not to do any update because, even though it was reported that no data was missing, we had a look and 'Hold Up' for example had only sold 31 copies yesterday.

We've come to the conclusion sales data must be almost entirely missing. Drake is, of course, #1 again.

Lack of mids today will just make the chart even more exciting tomorrow :D

Yes, it will add to the uncertainty of who will get to number 1 in both Charts.

It is a rare week when there is this level of uncertainty all ready!

Well.. Radiohead only sold 97 copies yesterday :P , yes Ariana still #1

Less so, yes, but still significant. As things stand, yes, Ariana is still #1 (in fact the Top 5 is the same order as yesterday).

Justin probably has it but will be nice to listen to the chart show not being 100% sure. When was the last time?
A song which hasn't got a music video is heading for a 7th week at #1. I dread to think what will happen if he releases a video for "One Dance"
And I like to add, we do have another Bank Holiday Monday this weekend, there won't be no update from OCC on Monday as usual, the mids will drop from Tuesday onwards next week. Unless Minty drops some hints over the weekend, usually I take those with a pinch of salt :D.

I'm genuinely baffled as to why the OCC don't even post the Bank Holiday updates at all on their site, like on the following day, leaving a gap for a "missing week" in the process. I don't see why they don't just put it in there - it just looks (for lack of a better adjective) odd...

At least there's only two more Bank Holiday Mondays left this year though...

Only 2 more left god I feel like this year is getting away from us already!
It's gone quick but I love September onwards for music, all the big acts come out.
annoyingly it wouldn't surprise me if justin timerlake sneaked a week at #1, for there seems to be a force field stopping anyone having more than 6 consecutive weeks at the top this decade  ~ the 'revision effect' (suppressing streaming numbers) appears to have worked in jt's favour this week~ :nocheer:

well technically 3, as Boxing Day falls on a Monday this year ;) :P

With streaming I can see someone at the top for more than 7 weeks very soon. With sales low and streaming having such a big impact it's only a matter of time..if One dance can be this big them something g else will come along bigger.
I wouldn't say streaming numbers are being suppressed, it's just Drake naturally decreasing, can't keep doing 800k forever :kink: JT's song is hugely popular too and going by its huge sales lead, it'd feel a tad unjust if it didn't make #1 I think.

Hmm, this year has been huge for big acts - who else is there to release tracks that'll be huge?

I was gonna say that Beyonce drake and a few others - the first two quarters have been strategically big for big artists!

Wet Wet Wet, Bryan Adams, god no

It's inevitable with the way the charts are at the moment, all of a sudden being number 1 is a huge deal now which is the way it should be IMO.
