May 28, 20169 yr Spadam can always send Crystalyne again I'd love to give Marissa Dattoli another medal position I'm not send that before though? I've not sent anything that isn't electronic but once I did and that was Spotlightbtw ty bae  Wait you suggested the lead artist had that name too? I don't really research my entries much unless :birthday: feel like it sometimes, ELC could also be a band or group possibly with Crystaline as one of the guys behind the group. Or it's just his real name mayve Edited May 28, 20169 yr by PVRISPVDVM
May 28, 20169 yr How can he join the rock bloc when you've taken all the accessible punk bands with tons of appeal out there It's my job to find more of those (well, punk bands, goth metal bands, rock bands, you name it). And honestly, I don't think I've done too bad at it in my nearly 5 years here, I've got several names on my list that have never been sent to the contest. But please, not Crystalyne again, I just can't get into them, they're far too far towards the pop end of the scale, barely even a rock band. Oh and yeah :music: should be used for all rock anthems and jams of that nature, that's fine.
May 28, 20169 yr tbh I don't think I've sent any 'punk' bands as such, but watch this space as I do plan to at some point :kink: I tend to go with pop-rock potentials mostly as I feel like they'd appeal to a wider audience but I do have a lot of potentials that are heavier that I do want to send soon, I'm just trying to work up the courage too. I send a lot of bands with female vocalists sure, but there HAS to be hundreds out there that I've not even heard of so take that as a challenge you should accept ;) ofc I adore almost every band I've sent so I'm happy for people to recycle them if they so wish  Edited May 28, 20169 yr by ℒ𝓲𝓷𝓭𝓼𝒆𝔂

I did not notice a rock band teas in Spotlight at all :o I thought it was in the dance pop umbrella like Selena Gonez type tracks. Explains why I loved ATC album so much if I get teas from that too! ^_^ Interesting indeed! Oh yes more :music: use please. I'd say acceptable uses are for loud songs and Rock is usually loud. So let's end the dance = :music: and only that stereotype please. Go Iz! ;)

I look forward to those kind of descriptions. I hope my YouTube suggestions catch on with my recent watching of ATC/PVRIS/Paramore etc. but they have a habit of just asking me to watch them again which is fine but not that effective. I could just listen to them in iTunes but I wish I'd get recommended new artists with similar sound more often. It does happen sometimes but maybe a bit more would be awesome.
May 28, 20169 yr but I do have a lot of potentials that are heavier that I do want to send soon, I'm just trying to work up the courage too. Story of my BJSC life. Sometimes it can work, like with Amaranthe (first time) and if this month pays off, Eluveitie, sometimes it backfires. Or I chicken out - but that's only when I don't absolutely love the song. If I need to send a song I will send it.
May 28, 20169 yr I love your entry this month Iz, it seems like really dramatic rock/metal tracks do have a fair amount of appeal, it paid off for What as well so I'd love to come across something like that in my hunt for potentials one day as the 'heavier' stuff i referred to before really is more grungy raw sounding pop punk stuff, some with screaming vocals and I just don't know how that'd go down  My planned entry for next month is very typical Taahino tbh but maybe I'll take more of a risk in the following contest. May 28, 20169 yr Is the :music: emoticon only used for electronic music because in trying to imagine listening to Still into you and I can actually shake my head like that when I hear it.. Not sure if anyone else does the same but I guess not for songs like Sam SmithI will proudly use :music: for Sam Smith and I hope I'm not the only one (see what I did there :music:). Actually I've always used it for any genre, I mean it is :music: rather than , it's a very versatile smiley IMO. 'Still Into You' is also very :music: but at a much faster pace!
May 28, 20169 yr I'm not send that before though? I've not sent anything that isn't electronic but once I did and that was Spotlightbtw ty bae :wub:Marissa Dattoli aka frontwoman of Crystalyne
May 28, 20169 yr Marissa Dattoli aka frontwoman of Crystalyne Oh nice. I might hear this Crystalyne some day but if Jz said to not send them then I guess they don't give enough ATC teas
May 28, 20169 yr Oh nice. I might hear this Crystalyne some day but if Jz said to not send them then I guess they don't give enough ATC teas They are pretty Against The Current-ish, although I'd say more poppy. I sent Punks Don't Dance by them recently but I also sent their song Wolves to nuggets a couple of contests ago, that song is my favourite by them. I recommend checking out We Are The In Crowd too, sent a song of theirs to BJFest last year, they've not released anything new since like 2013 though (Paramore teas)

May 28, 20169 yr I had never clicked that that was Crystalyne's frontwoman. She sounds quite suited to that sort of thing (and I liked it!). I'll backup We Are The In Crowd though, I've nearly sent them several times and they have plenty of good songs.
May 29, 20169 yr Oh lol I kept reading ATC as in the "A Touch of Class" europop group so got really hyped for 🔺donia until I realised he meant Against the Current. :nocheer:
