That Martine McCutcheon song is fantastic! Not much else has been so far though!

5.13 241 S Club Juniors - Automatic High

5.11 242 Chris Brown – Don’t Wake Me Up

5.11 243 Bruno Mars – When I Was Your Man

5.10 244 Sidney Samson feat. Wizard Sleeve – Riverside (Let’s Go!)

5.10 245 Maroon 5 - Maps

5.08 246 Manic Street Preachers - Empty Souls

5.04 247 Lisa Maffia - All Over

4.96 248 Conor Maynard – Can’t Say No

4.94 249 Eminem – Bezerk

4.92 250 5 Seconds Of Summer – Don’t Stop

5 Seconds Of Summer released a debut which went straight to #1, and for a time it seemed that the follow-up was destined to do the same. Thankfully people saw sense and it only went to #2. 'Don't Stop'? More like 'Please, STOP'.

No other boybands here but male bands Maroon 5 and Manic Street Preachers appear with the first of multiple entries for both of them. 'Maps' was a bit of a non-event even by Maroon 5 standards and I don't recall anything about 'Empty Souls' other than its hilariously short chart run.

Conor Maynard launched with 'Can't Say No' and for a very short period was known as the UK's Justin Bieber. His career as a pop star only lasted for one era though and now he does cover versions of current pop hits on YouTube (which seem to get quite a lot of views actually). Maybe that's for the best considering Buzzjack gave his #2 hit a score less than 5.

Sidney Samson scored the first big dance hit of the decade when 'Riverside' went in at #2 in January 2010, though it took a rap version by someone no-one had heard of or would hear of again for that to happen. It's one of my personal faves of 2010, sad to see it so low

Another rapper, and one who is significantly more popular, has his first entry at #249 with the lead from his most recent album. It quickly got overshadowed by his Rihanna collab and left the chart as soon as it came.

Chris Brown and Bruno Mars whine their way into this section and next to each other too. Both of the songs are, as expected, awful. And then there's S Club Juniors who we somehow let have three UK #2 singles. 'Automatic High' is the first of them in this countdown.

Don't Wake Me Up is incredible

All Over is an early noughties classic too, surprised that's so low I expected it to have a lot of fans here. The Conor, Eminem & 5SOS tracks are among their best.

If 'When I Was Your Man' was sang by a female BJ would've lapped it up.

I rather agree. Bruno gets a tough time on this forum. But WIWYM is a bit too cheesy. LOOH is so much better and I hope I don't see it appear for a while.

I really love Berzerk and Riverside, I expected them very low however, the former especially must be quite an acquired taste. Very little else that's good has gone, although I'll echo the hope that Locked Out Of Heaven is much higher, that's one of the few times I've been really convinced by Bruno as a popstar.

5.27 231 Ronan Keating - Lovin' Each Day

5.27 232 will.i.am feat. Miley Cyrus, French Montana, Wiz Khalifa & DJ Mustard – Feelin’ Myself

5.26 233 U2 - City Of Blinding Lights

5.23 234 Manic Street Preachers - The Love Of Richard Nixon

5.23 235 Justin Bieber – Boyfriend

5.22 236 The Vamps – Can We Dance

5.20 237 Meghan Trainor - Lips Are Movin

5.19 238 One Direction - Perfect

5.19 239 Lemar - Dance (With U)

5.14 240 Alyssa Reid feat. Jump Smokers – Alone Again

Alyssa Reid released her interpretation of 80s song 'Alone' in 2012 and made #2 with it. I remember well that week I was hoping all week it would miss #1 as it was up against David Guetta's 'Titanium'. Despite that I do like the song, preferably without the rap though.

Lemar was a contestant in Fame Academy and turned out to be the only one from that show to get a long running career out of it. His first single 'Dance (With U)' was fairly good and would be his highest peaker though the #3 'If There's Any Justice' would become his biggest hit single a year later.

One Direction released a fairly poor single last year, though quite average by their standards - which would have gone to #1 had it not been for KDA, Katy B and Tinie Tempah (saviours of the chart). It is their first of three #2 hits to drop out. Other boyband The Vamps drop out with their debut a few places higher.

Meghan Trainor, despite being a big female popstar has not always got the best reaction from Buzzjack from her songs. 'Lips Are Movin' isn't even her least popular song here but misses the top 200.

Before Justin Bieber made actually decent music last year he was best known musically for his pre-pubecent voice and cheesiness. Though there was a period inbetween of which 'Boyfriend' is taken from. It's not as bad as some of the horrors from his early stuff, but still not something I liked.

The other Manics frontloaded #2 drops out in this section. They still have one more appearance but with a song that actually spent more than 2 weeks in the top 40.

U2 make their 2nd visit in the countdown. They still have 2 more to go.

will.i.am, not satisfied with just one guest feature like most of his songs decided to go with four of them. It definitely worked though as it was quite a big #2 hit and is quite a jam too.

Ronan Keating is at the top of this section. It is the fourth appearance and last we see of him in this countdown.

5.45 221 S Club Juniors - New Direction

5.45 222 Basshunter – All I Ever Wanted

5.43 223 Rizzle Kicks – Mama Do The Hump

5.42 224 Holly Valance - Down Boy

5.41 225 Florence +The Machine feat. Dizzee Rascal – You Got The Dirtee Love

5.40 226 The Glee Cast – Don’t Stop Believin’

5.37 227 One Direction – Best Song Ever

5.33 228 Usher - Pop Ya Colla

5.32 229 Oasis - Let There Be Love

5.27 230 Sinead Quinn - I Can't Break Down

Sinead Quinn like Lemar was a Fame Academy contestant but had less of a top 40 career, having just this and a #19 hit. The song here isn't memorable, much like the Oasis and Usher songs above it.

One Direction made a song titled 'Best Song Ever'. As I expected, it was not anywhere close to being the best song ever. At least it provided a great chart moment in Avicii, Saviour of the UK Chart, beating this to #1.

The Glee Cast decided to inflict themselves onto the UK top 40 with thirty different songs. Only one of them would chart in the top five though and that was their cover of 'Don't Stop Believin', which sounded okay at the time but not something I go back to. Journey did it better.

Florence and Dizzee Rascal did a good mashup of two of their recent hits at the Brits in 2010 and it went all the way to #2. Brits mashups in subsequent years have not performed as well and now it seems they're not really a thing anymore. :(

Holly Valance actually had hits other than 'Kiss Kiss' which was a surprise to me. The direct follow-up made #2 but is generally forgotten which explains its low position.

Rizzle Kicks got their biggest hit with 'Mama Do The Hump', which is quite a fun song actually. Too low.

Basshunter had a massive #1 with 'Now You're Gone' and followed it up with the much weaker 'All I Ever Wanted', but people were still onboard with him enough to get it to #2.

S Club Juniors show themselves in this again, just one more to go from them.

5.65 211 K’naan – Wavin’ Flag (Coca Cola Celebration Mix)

5.65 212 Liberty X - Got To Have Your Love

5.64 213 Ice Cube feat. Mack 10 & MS Toi - You Can Do It

5.60 214 Sugababes – Get Sexy

5.58 215 D12 - My Band

5.56 216 Britney Spears - I'm Not A Girl Not Yet A Woman

5.54 217 Big Brovaz - Favourite Things

5.53 218 Donell Jones - U Know What's Up

5.53 219 Felix Jaehn feat. Jasmine Thompson - Ain't Nobody (Loves Me Better)

5.50 220 Appleton - Fantasy

Appleton despite the All Saints connection do poorly in this, probably because the song isn't that good.

What's not understandable though is Felix Jaehn this low  I guess with it being a dance cover version it was always going to get haters but this is seriously brilliant!!

More urban leaning songs drop out including Donnell Jones, Big Brovaz, D12 and Ice Cube.

Surprisingly we lose Sugababes and Britney Spears songs already, although less surprising when you consider what songs they are. 'Get Sexy' has always been hated by a lot of people including even people in the Sugababes fanbase, and that Britney song is very weak for her.

Liberty X had a great song in 'Just A Little' which was #1 for them. Their follow-up was not so great and misses the top 200 in this countdown.

K'naan released a football song in the height of the 2010 World Cup and somehow overshadowed the Shakira world cup anthem at the time, going all the way to #2 (stopped by a less good football song in 'Shout' and then Katy Perry the following week). I did quite enjoy it at the time anyway but it's not much of a loss at this stage.

'Can We Dance' is the only major loss for me so far. I'm generally not a fan of The Vamps, but it's a brilliant pop song. Shame they've not even come close to topping their debut.

5.79 201 LL Cool J feat. Jennifer Lopez - Control Myself

5.78 202 The Wanted – Chasing The Sun

5.78 203 Wiley – Wearing My Rolex

5.75 204 John Legend – All Of Me

5.75 205 Natalie La Rose feat. Jeremih - Somebody

5.72 206 Wretch 32 feat. Example – Unorthodox

5.71 207 Robbie Williams – Bodies

5.70 208 Maroon 5 – Makes Me Wonder

5.70 209 Shayne Ward – No U Hang On / If That’s OK With You

5.67 210 Example – Say Nothing

Example had just come from a great era and successful feature on a Calvin Harris track but it was arguably 'Say Nothing' which started his downfall. Somehow it made #2 but as it was such a weak song by his standards it fell very quickly. He would have just one more top ten hit afterwards.

Shayne Ward as the first successful X Factor winner had a few hits after winning, but none are half as remembered as his winners single 'That's My Goal' which leads to his double A-side missing the top 200.

Maroon 5 are seen again, this time with their first #2 hit 'Makes Me Wonder'. Being Maroon 5 of course the song was going to get hate from many of us, I personally think the song's quite average and here's about where it should be in the rundown.

Robbie Williams made a song about bodies, for some reason. This was also back when he was still big enough to get top 2 hits. Go check out the Robbie Williams forum. (Yes, we have one).

Example pops his head in again with Wretch 32 this time and Stone Roses. 'Unorthodox' was quite a letdown from Wretch's 'Traktor' so at the time I was quite annoyed it outpeaked it. Still not a big fan of the song now.

Natalie La Rose misses the top 200 which surprises me as I thought the song was very much liked on Buzzjack :o Well I guess even female popstars have their haters..

John Legend has 'All Of Me' at #204. Which is still at least 50 places too high.

On the other end of the spectrum Wiley has an amazing song one place above Legend. Proper jamm :music:

The Wanted lose another song, the surprising thing though is that it's actually a decent song. G'won ladz.

LL Cool J was apparently still relevant enough in 2006 to get a #2 hit single. Yeah that passed me by too, it's quite average anyway.

Natalie La Rose being that low is saddening and quite unexpected. Such a tune! Also, that Shayne Ward AA side is fantastoc! NUHU is exactly the sort of wholesome popNb he should've been doing instead of a lot of the Westlife-rejects material he ended up doing. :(
