5 years on and all my timehop updates are about this smashing charts across the world. I miss this time! Just over 5 years ago, the dust had settled and it had charted at #1 in the US selling over 1million copies and was sitting comfortably on top of the UK chart too.

A lot of websites did articles to celebrate 5 years since the release and I think the general consensus is that it can be looked on very fondly!

I look back on this era SO fondly. It's my favourite era for being a fan and also my favourite musically now - I'd say the album is her best project. So much love for what turned out to be a life-changing era for me!

Tracks I still love and listen to regularly: Marry The Night, Born This Way, Government Hooker, Judas, Hair, Scheiße, Highway Unicorn (Road 2 Love), The Edge of Glory

WHAT AN ALBUM FULL OF COUNTLESS MOMENTS.

It's aged well and is a great album.

The Steps lite cheese tho omg!! Especially Steps' Bloody Mary!!

This has come to be one of my all time favourite albums, even songs I used to hate like Heavy Metal Lover and Government Hooker have grown on me.

 I think it's firmly in my top 5 and probably top 3 albums of all time! Like you say, even songs you initially weren't sure of have a way of growing. I'd say it's all killer for me now. I don't think she'll top this in terms of wall-to-wall bangers but still maintaining control and a cohesive idea throughout the album. It's an ambigious collection but pulled off perfectly <3

Scheiße & Americano are my two all time favorite Gaga tracks. Both 11/10 moments.

If this were the main track listing it would have been flawless.

The rest should have been bonus tracks.

This album is just incredible. My hype level for it was ridiculously high and it did not disappoint. There are only a couple of duds on there (mainly 'Bad Kids' and 'The Queen' that I don't go back to all that much), on the whole it's a thrilling listen. I also think what contributes to this excitement for me is how she stepped up the production, I love the more rocky feel in places. 'Electric Chapel' is my favourite Gaga song ever.

Amazing album. My favourite album of hers and the one I go back to the most.

Americano aside I love every single track on the album and I absolutely loved the looks, tour and visuals this era too.

She lost me with this era. I didn't realise it till it was over but once it was coming to an end I felt so unsatisfied and I realised I didn't enjoy the album as much as I initially thought. Probably my least favourite Gaga album. It was a fun era to follow though, I still remember anxiously waiting for Born This Way (song) to premiere and listening the UK Radio premiere of TEOG (I think I almost cried). Also that messy Farmville stuff she did  I didn't even play it but I wanted that Electric Chapel snippet!!

Her best album for me and my 3rd favourite of all time. It means so much to me still and the entire era was an absolute riot to follow. I don't think i'll ever get a popstar/album/era that I obsess over more than the year or so she rode out the BTW train/bike ~

possibly my least favourite album cover of all time.

the text actually offends me.
