The song itself is a little Sam Smith-type basic ballad for me but it does have some lovely moments and I love her voice on ballads so much.

It has a lovely little melody and I love the tone and...control (:o) in her voice, but I just find the lyrics rather basic. That sort of theme has been exhausted so it's not enough to settle with school-like poetry. Obviously it's for a fantastic cause and I'll probably give it a purchase too but, just as Davidson put it, she can do much better and I hope this is just a standalone single rather than for the new album (although I'd like her to continue the subtle and controlled tone).

It was played on CNN while they broadcast a photo of each Orlando victim to close the tragic week of news. Apparently Hilary Clinton might be using the song for her campaign.

I think the fact that it's a touching song for a terribe tragedy and is raising money to help those affected is a bit more important than a chart position right now.
