was added on Friday but was not featured on the new Music Friday playlist, guess Spotify is not promoting it cos it was apple exclusive the week before :)

You'd think what with Katy being a huge worldwide name she'd at least debut top 100, or is it a case of people assuming she's not on Spotify and not bothering to even search the song up as they assume it hasn't been added and it's still an Apple Music exclusive?

It does seem that many don't know Katy Perry is on Spotify actually. Comparing her worldwide streams to Major Lazer who've had lots of Spotify promo:

'Cold Water' 8,922k

 

basically, 'Cold Water' is eighteen times more popular than 'Rise' is with Spotify users.

I bet Rise would probably be top 50 by now if it had been advertised. And I think it could even be top 20 had it been on from the start.

Well I guess at least Britney stans can say her single's done better on Spotify than Katy Perry... so far.
