Yep, that'd be it. I'd probably expect big jumps into the top 50 for both tomorrow.

I'd be surprised if Craig or Ellie made the top 50 tomorrow, I don't think they're on any playlists.

Craig David is on 'Summer Hits', track 13.

 

More noteworthy though is one of today's promoted playlists, 'Hot Hits UK' has Tove Lo as track 1 and her photo is shown, so that could give her the push she needs to go top 50. Track 2 is Hailee Steinfeld so she might get a big boost too.

It'd be interesting to see what would happen if Spotify removed all playlists for a week... we'd probably see a more accurate reflection of what people genuinely WANT to listen to, not what people are told to listen to.

I wonder if Sony buying Ministry Of Sound will see a boost for any MOS tracks which quite often have struggled on spotify, but presumably they will now appear on Sony's playlists which will help them a lot I would think

Come on Cash Cash! Would love to see this squeeze top 40 at some point but I don't see it happening, frustratingly.

Millionaire certainly strikes me as a song that could do relatively well in the charts - the kind of childish vocals give me No Money vibes and if the success of that is anything to go by, hopefully it can sneak in the top 40 at some point.
