it's way too early to call Emeli an underperformance, like I said last week with Gaga, the majority of songs fall sharply on Day 2. I'm sure 'Hurts' will be a hit single, although it seems likely that it'll perform better on sales than streaming.

I think being big in Europe is just as important, a lot of the big European hits seem to do well on Spotify here even if they're not selling much or getting airplay (Mike Perry, Frenship, Cheat Codes..)

But not when it comes to dance songs like trouble!?

Hurts has plenty of time, absolutely no judgements can be made at this stage. As Dan said, almost every new release falls on day 2 because of the New Music Friday playlist not being promoted anymore. Calvin is one of the exceptions where he debuted in the top 50 and therefore has the top 50 affect to help him climb.
