I would say its her most electro sounding album, yes hints of general pop and that shitty first single

Hand On Your Heart, wonderful cheese fest at its best, as i have said before she never in my opinion nails this live, i find her performances of hand on your heart very flat.

Loco Motion another wonderful cheese fest, i dont like the slow version of the song but i think the original UK release version is wonderful.

I Believe In You, i really like this but slightly prefer the more under-rated Giving You Up. I liked the style of both these songs and would have welcomed an album of material like these tracks.

2 Hearts, i have said this in other topics, its solid and a good song, but not lead single material. Choosing this song to kick the X era off was a a very bad choice considering the album has so many songs that are much stronger.

'Spinning Around' - One of my faves from Kylie and wow what a comeback, everybody thought her career was dead in the water, then she comes back with this amazing pop number, returning to her pop sound was a smart move, her first #1 in 10 years and well deserved, this set her back on the right track and still to this day it's awesome and plus remember those gold hot pants.

'Hand On Your Heart' - A fantastic piece of cheese, another strong Kylie track and glad it became another #1 for her and was definitely the right choice to lead her 2nd album, it's so catchy and bubblegum pop at it's finest.

'Locomotion' - I actually really like this, sure it has it's haters, but come on it's Kylie at the absolute peak of her career, I think Kylie's version is more well known than the original Little Eva version. The re-worked UK version is definitely the best version, and yeah it's still fun even to this day, and probably ranks as one of her signature tracks whether you may like or not.

'I Believe In You' - I didn't like this at first, but it did quickly grow on me and if it came out a week or 2 before it did, then it could have definitely been a #1 hit, releasing it the same week as Band Aid 20 wasn't a smart move, despite this being a million times better and yeah the music video is kinda dull, but it's still a really great track, really beautiful and catchy with interesting lyrics.

'2 Hearts' - Never been keen on this and wasn't the comeback that we hoped for, yes it is different and quite mind blowing especially for Kylie, but on the whole the track was kinda dull and got the album off to a rocky start, Not one of her finer moments and still think that if the album had a different lead single, then things could have been different, I think 'The One' would have been a much better choice as the lead single.

'Spinning Around' - it's actually pretty average song but it's enjoyable enough in terms of re-play value. Love the performance on X tour 2008.

'Hand On Your Heart' - Like her early PWL days, it's average.

'Locomotion' - The only version I prefer is the one from Abbey Road Sessions. The jazz version performed on tours are equally fabulous.

'I Believe In You' - this song hasn't aged well for me, along with Red Blooded Woman and In my arms.

'2 Hearts' - a strong lead single and I actually like it, give me goosebumps.

What a fantastic strand and thanks for all the work that has gone into it.

My favourite Kylie songs are the four Rhythm of Love singles (in their release order), Turn it into Love (ok was sadly only released in Japan and on the moon), Fever and Get Outta My Way.

So many surprise placings in this countdown. The arrival of digital singles and longer chart runs definitely artificially helping the likes of 2 Hearts and Wow along. Here's my prediction:

All the lovers 10

Especially for you 3

Got to be certain 6

Higher 5

Love all the songs coming top 10 so far, I really love listening to them and I'm happy All the lovers did so well from her, its her most recent big hit and based on sales alone it ranks very high on her best selling singles which is deserved as for me its right up high on the list of best ever singles.

'Got To Be Certain' - Great song and the perfect follow up single, everything about this is just so likeable, so catchy and happy, just love it, nothing more to say.

'Je Ne Sais Pas Pourqoui' - Another amazing Kylie classic and definitely one of the best choices from her debut album, and really like the cheesy music video set in Paris and Kylie looks really classy in it. This song is just a great example of 80's pop, and remember reading that this was meant to be a double a-side with 'Made In Heaven' which is also another nice track, but nothing compared to this, and turns out they didn't really need it as this became massive on it's own merits, and considering it's a 4th single that really makes it even more impressive. Wow remember the days when Kylie could have every single from an album go top 10, I really miss those days.

'All The Lovers' - Her first release of this decade and what a tune this is, it should have been #1, but at least it managed to become her last big hit and well deserved, it's such an amazing and euphoric number that's just beautiful and soaring, along with a wonderful music video that has a nice message and even love that random horse running which was just fantastic. Dunno why this didn't at least chart in the USA, but anyway a fantastic song and at least Kylie managed something that not even Madonna could manage, a big hit in this decade, even if it will probably be her last.

Je Ne Sais Pas Pourqoui was something so different at the time and most certainly not a song that many would have expected from the "PWL Factory" as it was called. It did very well for a 4th single, but Kylie was just so popular at that time, she could do no wrong. That said, all these singles deserved the success they achieved and more.

All The Lovers, i just adore the song and as SamJudd said it is likely her last big hit. I would have loved this to have been a number 1 hit for Kylie as it was her very last chance of extending her number 1's to eight. All the Lovers sounds as good today as it did when i first heard it and ranks as number 1 in my own best of Kylie songs.

Based on sales, where does All The Lovers rank in the list of best selling Kylie singles?

Not sure but you're looking at lower end top 10 songs

Top 10 placing would be wonderful for a song that came 20 years plus after her debut.

Je Ne Sais Pas Pourqoui is really the bright spot in the early PWL era, her performance on the first Showgirl tour was really elegant!

I said it before and I will say it again - it is disgusting that All the Lovers didn't get to Top 10 in Australia !

Ya I was so surprised by how all the lovers did in Australia as she promoted it well there. I still love the song like I always did and sadly it looks like it will be the song that was her final big hit.

I remember liking this a lot when it first came out but it really loses a lot when Kylie does it on tour, it really needs a male to sing the male part for that sexual chemistry.
