Also... I really hope the album doesn’t have loads of collaborations.

 

It’s a rarity these days to have a solo single and I’d love her to release multiple solo singles from this album no features just 100% Rihanna.

Drake I’d be happy with. I know she’s worked with him in the past but every duet they’ve had is different.

I can see multiple rap and urban artists being on the album though, I even thought Sean Paul May be on there due to the Dancehall theme the album has.

I had her down as releasing this on February 8 but Ariana is now releasing then.

 

Imagine if she releases on the same day :lol:

I also now think we aren’t getting a lead single, pre order type situation I think we’re just getting the ALBUM

Then whatever track/s catch on the most with the GP will be the single.

 

I think she may have a few videos already filmed but I can’t see her releasing a full visual album, although I may be wrong.

That’s a possibility. I was gonna say it’s not a Friday but then again Beyoncé released her last two albums on non chart days wasn’t Beyoncé released on a Friday when the chart was still a Sunday, then Lemonade was released on a Sunday or something? I remember prince being midweek #1 as he had just died then Lemonade overtook.

 

Every day now I check iTunes, then Apple Music, then twitter as I don’t have Spotify to see if the albums dropped overnight.

 

At this point, I don’t feel Rihanna cares that much about chart positions or sales for this album I think the tour will be a bigger focus for her. I think she’ll at least get a top 5 track from this album and I can see the album easily going to #1.

 

 

Seen on twitter today that a producer on the album The Dream has stated that the album is almost done.

Good to hear.

 

Hopefully she waits until the Ari album has died down a bit, otherwise she risks getting overshadowed. Also think she'd benefit from a surprise album drop.

She said "It ain't done until it's done", which reminds me of what she told NME about Anti in 2015: "To me it’s never done until it’s done. Until the final moment.”

Because Rihanna's definition of an album being "done" is that it's out, basically. She released Anti just 3 days after it was completed.

 

I'm pretty sure she has finished recording it, like the article says, but that it doesn't have a tracklist yet and needs finishing touches (mixing, etc.).

37 days to go until this matches the gap between Unapologetic and ANTI.

 

Will she break the gap and have R9 become the longest ever wait for a Rihanna studio album?
