Swedish pop star Tove Lo is about to start the promotion of her second studio album and follow-up to acclaimed debut “Queen of the Clouds“, released back in 2014.

The new single is called “Cool Girl” and it’s expected to impact Australian radio on August 5th, and of course it will be released worldwide the next day on digital retailers and streaming services. (According Noise11)

The music video that she has been teasing in her social networks is already filmed and expected to be premiered also next week through Vevo.

Looking forward to this, there were some great songs on her debut album!

Just to clarify, it's not impacting Australian radio on August 5. Noise11 is known for giving a release schedule about the WW upcoming releases.

Besides that, I'm looking forward to this as well.

Lorde said it's the song of the summer. There's less than a month left of summer, but I'll take it.

Pretty sure this happens every year, where an artist releases a song that just defines summer...right at the end of summer. Ah well, September usually ends up more consistently nicer than any of the summer months anyway.

I'm already thinking I'll love this from just the preview. I could just picture Tove Lo singing just as the clip ends.

It's pleasant, reminds me a little of a more electro 'Body Say' in terms of vibe but this doesn't have the catchiness and big chorus that has and her vocals don't compare to Demi's of course in terms of power. It's pleasant enough to be a radio hit but it is going to need repeat listens for me I think.

First listen: This is nice, but sounds a little album-tracky.

Second listen: This is amazing and should smash everywhere.

This is mid-high-rank 'Queen of the Clouds' worthy but still VERY GOOD just that the standard of that album when it was good was very high.

Can see it being a bit of a grower too, really funky style she's gone for!

I'm a sucker for this sort of warped electro sound, I instantly like it a lot! It's different for her lyrically in that it oozes self confidence and is not about heartbreak, sex or hedonism.

I can't help but hear "I'm a call girl".

This is amazing  I don't think she'll ever top Talking Body but I can easily seeing this being my second favourite of hers!
