September 15, 20168 yr Skepta seemed like the "right" winner this year, so well done to him. I put money on him winning, so I won £20, which I'm quite happy about.
September 15, 20168 yr Weird to think that at the turn of the decade he was pumping out incredibly commercial chart rap/Clubland filler like Rescue Me. I listened to the album when it came out and I remember thinking it was strong and engaging lyrically and musically so no arguments and grime is such a force at the moment that it does deserve the recognition.
September 15, 20168 yr Skepta deserved the win for the title track alone. So many strong contenders this year but I'm happy with that outcome!
September 16, 20168 yr I'm happy for Skepta! Another artist who showed how powerful independent artist grow this year. :cheer: If7Xa-OX7No
