these two actors never actually seeing the people they are talking about kinda ruins it.

I agree. A few references were necessary in getting Jenna settled as Michelle but it is getting a bit overboard now with little of the desired effect.

Next Thursday's episode I think is the one where Michelle and Sharon have their heart-to-heart and we learn of what brought her back to Walford. I think that having substantial to work with (and, most importantly, stuff that is new instead of being some sort of reference) will help allow Michelle settle.

I know Shirley and Glenda have a bad history but a bit insensitive of her to snarl at her like a dog when she entered the Vic considering she just lost her two daughters.

I do want them to have another showdown though at some point - it should've happened in her return last year really.

It was a bit insensitive but I suppose Shirley's always been set to automatically hate people and think about it later. Plus it did make me a bit giddy when I recalled the fabulous "charlatans, liars and cheats" rant from 2010.

I loved the Ronnie pre-wedding video. That was a nice touch and slightly unexpected - I knew she was credited for this episode but I thought Jack would visit her in Cokers or something.

Last I heard thwy had no plans to bring her back!!

Qhej did this newz leak?

This is HUGE!

The pacing was really weird and off-putting tonight. You had Michelle and Sharon comfy on the sofa having a chat in one scene before, suddenly, Sharon's at Denise's baby shower, which I don't think we had heard anything about previously and it was over in a flash anyway. You had the scene with Jack and Glenda hearing the cause of R&R's deaths, which was technically a good scene but was spoilt by being surrounded by other weird paced scenes and the way we, as viewers, suddenly just jumped into the scene. Plus the Bex/Louise/Shaki scenes were beyond tedious and Tina falling in the park pond was typical sitcom crap.

Hopefully things will pick up later in the week with Sharon and Michelle's heart-to-heart and Denise giving birth.

EDIT: Oh, I had almost allowed "YOU TOTAL TOENAIL" slip from my mind. Ugh. :drama:

Also, did you see Sharon hyperventilating over potentially winning a bottle of Pinot despite just seconds before refusing Michelle to drink alcohol in her house?

Mick is like one of those people you'd never go to for help 'yeah I'll help you,but only if I get to treat you like shit' awful father.

'You total toenail' will hopefully be my new catchphrase.

And I love the inner passive aggressive bitch inside Michelle 'I was gonna cook for him' 'I just thought I'd make him something nice'

I never thought I'd see a storyline where I'd actually feel sorry for Glenda but Jack is making it so easy.

Still yet to see a storyline where I feel sorry for Jack tho.

An actual good duff duff! :o

I knew the Denise storyline wouldn't disappoint. Tbf I expected someone in there but thought it would be Libby or someone boring/random. So yes!!!!
