She looks great don't get me wrong but after seeing Beyonce with her 13 million dollar of Schwartz jewelry dress :o...

No. That dress was pretty, but the electrified diamond chicken wing look was not my forte

Britney's dress doesn't show any signs of pretension, just pure elegance & class.

It's the VMA's catwalk not NYFW.

She looks absolutely stunning. Not one complaint about that dress.
Even though it's a bit annoying she did Me, Myself & I compared to doing a song from Glory, the mash-up saved it for me. The first half I was really underwhelmed (apart from the fact Britney looked absolutely perfect) but the mash-up really picked up the pace and made it pretty good!

I think she did really good...the first part was really good and also the chemistry between her and G-Eazy was

But I agree with the part that she could have used something from Glory instead Me Myself and I.

I liked it quite a bit, I'm a bit disappointed that there's so much negativity towards it from a lot of fans. It wasn't spectacular, and I'd have liked it to be (the start was quite creative and interesting, so I honestly thought they were gonna go all out), but I thought the style of performance was great. She looked sexy and cool, choreo was pretty good and the chemistry with G-Eazy was there.

My only complaints about the performance relate to it basically seeming a bit underbaked. The projections weren't used as well as I hoped (excellent at first, but then nothing), the interactions with G-Eazy occasionally were rather lazy/uninspired (I feel like the crotch-grabbing will take away attention from the better elements of the performance, unfortunately) and it felt just too short. It needed one more interesting thing and I think it would have been great.

The song probably needed more than it got, but it wasn't a bad performance by any means. I liked it a lot and I think Britney should be happy with it.

Was it her best ever performance? No, definitely not, it was quite safe in a way really, but that's good and I'm really glad it wasn't a total cock-up. The opening with the shadows was excellent, and I quite liked the mash-up even if a song from Glory would've been much better. I liked it overall anyway and I hope it gives it a nice little boost on iTunes!
It has got something of an iTunes boost already! Gone up 4% pretty much immediately. Should be quite comfortably #2 for a while!

I enjoyed the opening particularly. I feel like it was a really 'cool' performance and it caters a lot to the general public rather than her fanbase. Other than her dodgy lip syncing, the reaction outside her fanbase is surprisingly positive.

Yeah the mash-up saved it for me too. I just found the Make Me.... part a bit meh, but then I'm not a huge huge fan of the song anyway. It would have been nice to hear a Glory track but the MMI bit was really unexpected so it felt more impactful for that.

I guess to sum it up, it was good but it wasn't the sort of really memorable performance we're used to from her at the VMAs. It felt like a new or emerging artist rather than a legend.

I thought it started off so promising in the beginning! Like a 10/10 performance was coming. I really enjoyed her doing the full out choreography for 'Make Me' like we saw in the rehearsal video. I enjoyed the mash up as well, she looked amazing, confident and she danced great.

My biggest complaint is how short it was and how there was equally just as much G-easy parts as hers. I think what it was missing was that closing touch that just sealed it all together. For instance she had better stage presence than at the BBMA's, but that closing with Toxic really just sold it. I think if she had done just a verse of DYWCO at the end with the choreography she did at Vegas with the pole it really would have done wonders for the overall presentation.

And when you even look at Vegas performances from around the BBMA's, it just seems like an entirely different person. She really has improved so much in the span of just a couple months.

The thing I need to grasp as a fan is that Britney isn't here to ruffle feathers and be the most controversial star on the planet anymore. She has moved on from those days and just wants to put on a good show focused on fun and performing, not the theatrics.

First watch I was underwhelmed because of all the hype MTV had created, but on second watch I'm really proud at how hard she has worked to get back to a caliber performing worthy of celebrating.

8.5/10
