That's not the best part!

'In The Zone' has a shambles peak of just #13!!!! It didn't even debut there either! :drama:

(Although, it did debut at #14 so only just managed to out peak it!)

That's so crazy, TBH. Meanwhile it opened in America with sales almost at 700k.

People like to say Britney used to be the most popular in the UK, but I have never bought that. The only reason it seems that way is because of her single peaks. She would have so many more #1's and top ten hits if her singles were available for sale. That and the clear channel drama.

Really not sure what went wrong with In The Zone in the UK, it's baffling, in terms of its entry position & its eventual peak. The era seemed so huge otherwise.

Outsold by a G-Unit album! :drama: Atomic Kitten & P!nk higher in their second weeks. Even Kylie entering at 6 was seen as an underperformance (and is somewhat unfairly regarded as a bit of a flop moment for her), so Britney at 14 was pretty disastrous.

Then two huge #1 singles couldn't get 'In The Zone' to go any higher than #13?! Ugh! Curiously it was at #15 the week before the 'Toxic' single came out, but then dropped to #18 in the week 'Toxic' entered at #1. It's so weird a hit like that didn't benefit the album all that much.

The album finally clawed its way up to #13 while 'Everytime' was in its 4th week in the singles chart ('ITZ' was languishing at #32 in the same week 'Everytime' entered at #1, so the album still took time to get going while this was a hit single).

Oh well. A more positive comment I can make about the album's commercial performance here is that it's her third best selling studio album out of the eight!

Wow! 8 months until it reached its peak. How did I not know that? :o

Glory is 14 on Amazon!
Awesome! Britney coming for that #1 album! Would her album debuting at #1 help her standing with radio there?
Sadly I'm not sure it will :( but it will get her a bit of good publicity with it being reported that she's achieved her first ever #1 album!

I think it will manage a #1, although with very poor sales and I can definitely see it being a really low selling album in general.

That aside, I'm glad she's about to be #1 in the UK with what is shaping up to be a
really
great album.

Well Frank Ocean just release his album as Apple Music only. Which means next week it'll probably be general sale.

There's that thing to come out of nowhere....

Britney Jean had a Q4 release. There's absolutely no way this will miss the top 5, not because she'll do huge numbers but because of how the album chart looks at the moment.

I just think that outside Twitter/social, her campaign isn't resonating with people at all.. But it'll be interesting to see how this release goes. But I just wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't set the charts alight.

That's not really the point, it's more to do with the convenience of the time of year, and week she's chosen rather than her doing huge numbers.

Guess we'll only have to wait and see - personally, I hope she does secure her first UK #1 album...

I don't she will now, because of Frank Ocean. But she should still be 2 or 3, I'd imagine.

Good ******* bye :arrr::angry: Why has everybody suddenly jumped on that bandwagon, there's only like 2 good songs on his last album

:cry::cry::cry:

The #1 album this week sold 7,948 copies. We nothing out apart from Frank Ocean, surely Top 2 is a cert? How amazing would that be?! :o
