I suppose so, but I recall The Tide going top 40 in like an hour based on fanbase buys, so it has to equate for something? Or was Click My Fingers up for pre-order (you should know this Joseph ;o)
Lots of bigger artists do the sameas Emeli is, they have a proper premiere instead of chucking it on iTunes, and it still works  She's hardly going to bomb because she's lost 7 hours of sales.

Yeah I do suppose I'm sawing my arm off with a blunt stone here, just salty it's not out at midnight :,) I'm sure it'll debut top 20 either way.

Click My Fingers did have a pre-order I think but The Tide are pretty much entirely reliant on their fanbase right now, so they all bought it instantly, and would have done so even if it got released 7 hours later so the time of release didn't really matter for that!

very strong indeed, impressive on 1st listen
This is very impressive! Her 'Sing' moment like I predicted.
This is INCREDIBLE!! Oh my lord. It's exactly what she needed to change it up a bit but it still feels very her, it's not too much of a jump into a sound that's implausible or forced. I love how cinematic and anthemic it is. This will surely be huge?
Incredible! I am down for sassy Emeli this era pls
This is really good! Exactly what she needed for her comeback really, sounds like a hit. Very anthemic-sounding (love the orchestral/choir parts) and perfect for X Factor season (performance incoming surely?)
This is really good on first listen, a British #1 is well needed and a female act at #1 :D
Absolutely stunning, exactly what I wanted from her. Hoping this can be the hit she needs but I don't really trust the public in letting it become one.
It's strong and has a good hook! I'm glad she hasn't returned with a piano ballad sound she eventually became renowned for and that it's more on the Heaven side of things.

I knew I had a good feeling about this for a reason.

Already her best after 'Heaven' for me.

Wonderful! So big and cinematic. It's different enough, without it being too different for her! Impressed
