Britney for me! Really solid pop album, I only heard this (and most of her albums) for the first time in full recently and I keep going back to Cinderella in particular and a few others  I think it gets overlooked in favour of ITZ and Blackout, which is understandable when they're such excellent albums, but it doesn't get anywhere near the recognition it deserves!

Is this underrated in the sense or critical or fan acclaim or underrated in terms of sales etc?

Blackout would win if it’s sales related (an album what seems to be seen by a lot as Britney best but was by far her lowest selling solo album at time of release).

I voted in this at the time the thread was posted, but I can't remember what I chose

I'd probably say 'Britney'? Fan acclaim seems to be concentrated on 'In the Zone' and 'Blackout', but I feel 'Britney' deserves to be highly regarded alongside them. I recently listened through to the albums on vinyl, and I came to the conclusion that 'Britney' is a more consistent listen than 'In the Zone'. :o 'In the Zone' has at least 3 tracks that I'm not particularly in to, as well as some obvious career highlights. It's an album I tend to go back to for the highs, rather than a front to back listen. Whereas with 'Britney' I don't tend to feel the urge to skip anything.

Definitely 'Britney'! Aside from 'I'm A Slave 4 U', the era isn't really adored in the same way as some of her others. Plus the US chart positions were brutal.

I've voted Circus for her most underrated. It has so many incredible album tracks on it!

Other albums by her are technically better (such as Blackout / Britney) but this has so much goodness in it too and i'd consider it much more underrated than the two i've mentioned ~
