RB Leipzig will definitely finish second in their first ever season in the Bundesliga. However, they may not be allowed into the Champions League. Red Bull Salzburg, managed by former Brighton boss Oscar Garcia, have won the Austrian Bundesliga and Champions League rules state that two linked clubs cannot both enter the competition. UEFA will be investigating whether the two clubs' links with Red Bull are close enough for Leipzig (having finished lower down their league than Salzburg) to be disqualified.

For the first time, Hoffenheim have qualified for the Champions League.

Bayern Munich won their 5th consecutive Bundesliga title today, and saw Philip Lahm retire today as well.
