4.5K comments ... a lot of talking & giving out I think :P

I had both HES and PLAR on repeat in my car this morning - I'm really enjoying both. I can't really pick between the two. They're both excellent tracks and I hope the whole of the album is in the same "big/bold" vein.

Interesting that the video to PLAR is number one on the Itunes video chart and yet no one is buying the download. What sort of correlation is that?

I really don't understand the charts anymore. Pleased to see the video do so well though. It is brilliant. B-)

Maybe not everybody knows that there is a collaboration between The Killers and Robbie at the album.

This song called Mixed Signals. Track number 3.

Need to say there is a strong connection between Brandon and Robbie since summer...actually since Avicii's The Days...actually since 2009 when Rob named Human his recent fave song...actually since Live 8 in 2005 where Rob sang a few lines of All These Things That I've Done.

Well, Brandon used the same jacket (as Robbie in the clip) at The Killers concert last Friday. Both good lads!

I thought after Robbie's 'Brits 2013' song that they wouldn't give him anything ever again. glad to be proven wrong.

Thrilled and proud for him. I hope he gives himself five minutes to be proud of himself. I'd love to be able to get tickets for this gig and show my support and appreciation.

But at least we can watch it on TV next month. B-)

Yes - both good lads ^_^

Maybe Brandon will be one of the special guests at the Brits Icon gig? I wouldn't be surprised.

Yeah, I have already sent a Twit to him and Robbie ;)

BTW, Mixed Signals has written by The Killers guys only. Without Rob.

Now it's time to go to bed but tomorrow I want to check one thing...

If I'm not wrong that's the first song in Robbie's discography where he does not appear as co-author (I exclude Swing albums).

In overall terms I would hardly call it a disaster... PLAR was put out for a reason & I think it was to do with marketing Robbie in Russia , nowhere else , he did do a lot of weddings there in recent years & what better way to introduce oneself than people having to ask themselves if he is insulting them or not !! , he certainly grabbed their attention ..

Looking forward to this gig . The one thing that always pi***d me off about Robbie over the years is that he continuously knocks himself, is it before anyone else does it & he uses it as a defence mechanism . He should be really proud of what he has achieved . I am delighted for him .

I hope you can get tickets Laura

Party Like a Russian

October 04, 2016

So welcome to my second blog post! This week has been really exciting as we have unleashed unto the world, a new single - Party Like a Russian. It's been fascinating to see it's progress, making it onto the news in Russia and creating loads of energy on YouTube with lots of Russian comments. I have to admit I was a little nervous about this song going public but it seems to be getting a lot of attention and that isn't easy in this media saturated world! Our gig at the Roundhouse was a joy and we have been rehearsing for a little acoustic show which has been a completely different challenge - Party Like a Russian acoustic is a musical rub cube. We got the inspiration for the title from wandering around Red Square in Moscow, feeling the ghosts of all it's history. We were playing an oligarch's party that night and I was thinking it would be fun to write something Russian influenced and fun (but also a little scary at the same time).

Stay tuned!

Maybe they have first watched how it will chart so that they can have a better hit? Anyway I hope the album will go to number one. I don't think that he will ever have a number one single again

I know - you can bet that he's feeling undeserving of it even before the news is out. That's the first thing I thought when I read about it - that he will feel he doesn't deserve it. It's a flipping amazing achievement and I'm glad they're acknowledging him while he's still fit and healthy. So many artists only get stuff like this after they're no longer with us. It's something that can never be taken away from him. He should be very, very proud B-)

It feels like 1999 all over again.

I guess he should be flattered that at 42 he can still cause "a storm". Kind of shows you what a beige world we live in now if this song is considered controversial. :coffee:

In Paris today at NRJ.

I thought he did well in amongst the chaos - everybody talking at once.

He seems to thrive in this kind of situation - nothing seems to phase him.

I gave up on this one, it was confusing and nervy. I am getting old :-)

:P
