PLAR is amazing, HES is good too. I find it interesting the he had a song called H.E.S. and now an album called Heavy Entertainment Show. Both HES songs are good though.

Just listening to the live version of Motherf***er now, it is pretty good :)

Just so you know @robbiewilliams I was the humble cleaning lady who took care of your morning glory all those years ago. #GrahamNorton

So out of the tracks that we have heard so far what is everyones favourite?

Heavy Entertainment Show

Party Like A Russian

Motherf***er

Sensational

So far Motherf***er but PALR not far behind ...

He has achieved what he wanted. For all those who do not follow him that close;y as the fans he had not done two huge tours but was away especially in Britain. This song made people speak about him no matter if good or bad and Russia is a perspective rour destination too.

The next song he will publish - and that is the reason he publishes it so fast after PLAR in my opinion - will be the important pleaser for anyone.

Being indifferent is about the worst place to be so I agree Eliasabeth, a lot of different opinions on FB re Robbie but they go to the trouble of posting even if they do not like him so curiosity gets the better of them whether they like it or not

I like PLAR , a real grower ..

Well, now the song is #3 on iTunes here.

Since 2002 year his profile hasn't been so high in Russia, at least for yesterday!

He was on news TV channels and not for 30 seconds: from 1 to 5 minutes per plot.

A lot of people who don't know English asked Djs on radio if Robbie attacks Russia or not.

So a lot of conversations in media and in society.

50% people enjoy the song, 50% use bad words.

Probably taking a while to figure out if he is being serious or not ... it'a all a bit tongue in cheek

Will be interesting to see what the reaction would be when he next tours in Russia , knowing Robbie he will think of something to appease the people :P

Huge amount of comments from Russian folk on YT about the video, no idea what they are saying but Robbie sure grabbed their attention

I couldn't agree more Tess. Whether it's the music or on Graham Norton or on XF tonight - he always gets people talking. Some love him, some hate him but he's never boring. The day I'm not interested in what he's got to say is the day I stop being a fan.

I've just read an RW reply on upfront - someone posted that PLAR was a very bold move and that it might have been an easier ride to have HES as the first single and he said there was a danger of a RW release getting missed in all the modern music, so they had to be bold and brave. I respect that. :)

Course he will. He could sell coals to Newcastle.

Do we know if PLAR will chart this week? The streaming thing always baffles me...

He's #23 on iTunes and not top 200 on Spotify, so I imagine if he hangs on he will chart at number 88 or something officially

Blimey.

I kind of guessed that even before he released the track but it still makes depressing reading. i wonder if he'll ever be able to chart a singlr again? Yet that video has been viewed nearly 9m times in three days. Doesn't that count for anything?

I looked - the album is number one on the iTunes and Amazon pre order chart so let's hope that fairs better.

I don't even understand the streaming chart let alone be able to contribute towards it. -_-

I have not expected different, but i am sure he will do good with the album and he will sell well for thr tour. As far as I saw in the official charts even Niall Horan only made it to the top 100 on place 100 and he is from 1D.

Can someone explain to me how this streaming counting works? Do they have to pay for streaming? I have no idea :-)

Apart of that I am and the fact that I am not that a huge fan of PLAR I like the marketing strategy of Sony.

Niall Horans track was only available for 12 hours to make the #100 position

yes. and Robbies 4h hours, but Robbie is a yesteryeared dinosaur who is not one of the top acts of the most successful boybands ever. I thnk Niall will climb, nevertheless top artists like Buble, Gaga, Murs are also charting nit as years ago. However, I don't think that Robbie will have a no 1 spot anytime soon anymore with singles. I am almost sure though that the album will chart very well

It's not just Robbie, the streaming thing has hit all similar artists. The top 20 rarely changes much these days because of it. But Robbie doesn't help himself by releasing a very marmite song. I wonder if he'll do a medley of HES, PLAR and the next single on XF...

Niall is at 5 now, and Robbie at 53. Quite like the Robbie single.

Guess Robbie is of that age now

Edited by Mullo

Yes - it's an age thing. I don't think there's anything he can do about it. Just use the singles as promo for the album and see how that does. :)

I listened to HES and PLAR today and I still think they made the right choice of single out of the two. He wanted to be bold and he has been. I love both songs and hope the album is represented by these two.

On XF (if he's on) I'm expecting him to perform the second single that's out on Oct 21st. Then two weeks later the album is out.

He's fighting for his place amongst the youngsters and I admire that. You always know he's going to try his hardest.

I think landing PLAR as the lead off single was a good decision on Robbie's part , look at the comments on YT . 90% of them are from the Russian community & I think that is where his focus is this time around when it comes to his tour next year. Touring is where the bib bucks are for an artist like Robbie who is getting older, he certainly is not going to appeal to young people when it comes to buying his albums or singles . He did a lot of weddings in the past couple of years so I'm guessing it was part of a long term plan. ;)
Oh, Robbie will receive the Brit ICON Award this year as only David Bowie and Elton John before.
