Posted October 7, 20168 yr What was the song/era that made you become a fan of Rih? I'd say the Rated R era turned me into a stan. I'd LIKED her music before that (and have grown to like it more recently) but I absolutely fell in love with that album at the time <3
October 7, 20168 yr Pon De Replay duh!!! Lol actually it was Unfaithful that turned me into RiRi stan
October 7, 20168 yr The song that turned me into a "stan" was 'Umbrella'. Everything prior to that I enjoyed and was a fan, but I always felt her potential wasn't ever met and after 'We Ride' I genuinely thought that was it. I even listened to her albums and none of them impacted me at all. AGLM was cute, but didn't excite me much beyond the singles and 'Break It Off' mainly and I remember being SO disappointed in her first album.
October 7, 20168 yr ^^ you're stanism for Riri is little late boo...you jumped on bandwagon with everybody else...lol joking.
October 7, 20168 yr Haha! I know!!! 'Umbrella' was the point where I realised she was something special and I think it helped that GGGB was actually a great album too, especially after being so let down by the first two!
October 7, 20168 yr Unfaithful! I bought Pon De Replay along with Long Hot Summer in my local Asda back in 2005. I didn't really get into IILTYW (although I enjoy it now) and SOS suffered from overplay quickly. OTOH Unfaithful never really got boring for me. I was obsessed with it all of the summer when it was released and when Umbrella came around, I fell in love with her even more - since I obsessed over that the following summer.
October 7, 20168 yr lol i was EXTREMELY late. Of course I always liked a lot of her singles and listened to them regularly but I don't think it was until 'Diamonds' that I got into stan mode.
October 7, 20168 yr I loved her right from 'Pon de Replay' haha, but it was 'Only Girl (In The World)' and subsequent singles when I really got into her.
October 8, 20168 yr s.o.s had me hooked then she dropped unfaithful and I was like wow and this is probably why I always have an overrated appreciation for the following single We Ride. Glorious moments.
