I think you're right to an extent. Where now albums may have a problem going forward is that the charts seem very stale now, and not many new songs enter anymore. Streaming has totally changed things. Any idea when we will be getting news on now 96? I put Drake as he seems to appear a year after the song is popular. Hotline bling on now 94 is a classic example of this.

I just hope they include Ed Sheeran as he hasn't been appearing on compilations lately or I just hope they do a Drake with him and only include him on the main series

Now 96 will be very likely to be released on Friday 7th April as the Easter Now is normally out the week before Good Friday! We won't get the official track listing until the end of March, but they may reveal the artwork at the end of Feb.

I think it'll be earlier. The artwork for now 93 was revealed early Feb last year. Although Easter was early so that may be why. I'm surprised that now took down their web forum and it's a pity they did that. Does anyone else have a prediction for the tracklist? I hope they include both ed sheeran tracks. They should do as his album will break the Internet
I'm in England with my class from the 13th to the 17th, so I'd prefer it to be released on the 17th so I can get it (hopefully).

Hey I'm kinda new to these forums so I've never really done anything like this before, although I've always had playlists in itunes or spotify of songs I think will be on the next NOW Album. I live in Australia and, as mixed as our charts get sometimes over here, I always get the latest NOW...always. Anyway here's a bit of a tracklist prediction for Now 96. It's a little bit early yet so i might make another one closer to the time depending on how the charts go

Disc One:

1. Should've Been Me - Naughty Boy

2. You Don't Know Me - Jax Jones

3. Shape Of You - Ed Sheeran

4. Be The One - Dua Lipa

5. Touch - Little Mix

6. I Would Like - Zara Larsson

7. Starboy - The Weeknd

8. Black Beatles - Rae Sremmund

9. Call On Me (Ryan Riback Remix) - Starley

10. All Night - The Vamps & Matoma

11. By Your Side - Jonas Blue

12. Scared To Be Lonely - Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa

13. Shed A Light - David Guetta & Robin Schulz

14. Only One - Sigala & Digital Farm Animals

15. Move Your Body - Sia

16. Love Me Now - John Legend

17. Fake Love - Drake

18. Just Hold On - Louis Tomlinson & Steve Aoki

19. Bad Things - Machine Gun Kelly & Camila Cambello

20. Love My Life - Robbie Williams

21. Safe Inside - James Arthur

22. On Hold - The xx

Disc Two:

1. Castle On The Hill - Ed Sheeran

2. Human - Rag'n'Bone Man

3. I Don't Wanna Live Forever - Zayn & Taylor Swift

4. 24K Magic - Bruno Mars

5. Paris - The Chainsmokers

6. No Lie - Sean Paul

After that I'm a little bit stumped for Disc Two, there's some songs I'd like to see on there but how many or in what order I am not so sure:

Run Up - Major Lazer

Text From Your Ex - Tinie Tempah

Not In Love - M.O

Now and Later - Sage The Gemini

Play That Song - Train

Issues - Julia Michaels

Don't Leave - Snakehips

Skin - Rag'n'Bone Man

I have a feeling that Should've Been Me is gonna become huge in a few weeks time, possibly being the one to knock Ed off the top spot if Jax Jones doesn't get there first. Depending on the success of So Good, I Would Like might not make it to Now 96 and it might be chosen to go on the album instead similar to how History was chosen over Perfect by One Direction last year. But so far Zara Larssons new song is disappointing and quite a few agree. Scared To Be Lonely is a sure-fire hit for both Martin and Dua - it's like ITNOL but a thousand times better - probably a Top 5 hit here. I'm hoping they go for Fake Love instead of Too Good. Granted, it didn't perform as well as his other's, but Too Good is long gone and adding songs that were relevant 8-9 months before the album is released seems a bit of a waste. And lastly for disc one, Safe Inside is probably going to make it on there just because of the name James Arthur.

Disc Two, like I said, was a bit of trouble. The first 6 songs I am almost certain will make an appearance but after that it could be anything. I can't see Text From Your Ex or Not In Love lasting long on the chart and i wouldn't be surprised if everyone's forgotten about them by the time Now 96 is released. Issues is doing good in Australia & the US too it seems so I'm hoping for it to hit a chord over in the UK and get popular - It's my favourite song right now and you guys are missing out.

Please leave me some comments and maybe help with more suggestions for Disc Two. There is songs like I Feel It Coming but considering the fact Starboy wasn't on Now 95 (and assuming The Weeknd is pulling a Drake) IFTC might end up making an appearance on Now 97. Or either of them, its not my favourite Weeknd song. Hope you enjoy!

It's a good list. Disc 2 was a struggle for me. Mainly because the charts are loaded with loads of songs that were on now 95. What about posthumous George Micheal track. That could be possible. Difficult to tell how songs to be released will perform as the charts are really unpredictable at the moment.

Can't believe they've knocked this one down to two discs, there's one song on there which could possibly appear on NOW 96 but might not due to it flopping and if they were so eager to include Clean Bandit on the album, they should have included "Rockabye" instead of "Rather Be"

EDIT: "Flying Without Wings" has been replaced by "You Raise Me Up"

Edited by Hadji

Britney's Oops!...I Did It Again...a real mum's favourite!

Mama should have opened this album in the (bizarre) absence of Rockabye.

Should've Been Me has been impacting British radio for a while now and it still hasn't taken off, it seems very unlikely now that it'll make the top 40. Of course, that won't necessarily stop NOW! from including it on the CD but there's no way it'll be Track 01. I fully expect 'Shape Of You' to be track 1 disc 1 and 'Castle On The Hill' track 2 disc 2.

I'll make some predictions soon..

When did Ed last appear on a major compilation?

I've just noticed Germany's Bravo Hits 96 tracklisting is out and neither of his songs appear on there, when you'd probably ordinarily expect them to.

I'm wondering if he's going to 'do an Adele/Rihanna' and hold back his songs from compilations. He seems to consider himself as the biggest artist in the world other than Adele (he has a fair point!) so it would make sense

here's my current prediction:

Disc One

1 Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You

2 Little Mix - Touch

3 Zara Larsson - I Would Like

4 Jax Jones - You Don't Know Me [feat. RAYE]

5 Starley - Call On Me [Ryan Riback Remix]

6 The Weeknd - Starboy [feat. Daft Punk]

7 The Chainsmokers - Paris

8 Dua Lipa - Be The One

9 Louis Tomlinson and Steve Aoki - Just Hold On

10 The Vamps and Matoma - All Night

11 Robin Schulz and David Guetta - Shed A Light [feat. Cheat Codes]

12 Jonas Blue - By Your Side [feat. RAYE]

13 Martin Jensen - Solo Dance

14 Digital Farm Animals - Digital Love [feat. Hailee Steinfeld]

15 Sia - Move Your Body (Single Mix)

16 Julia Michaels - Issues

17 Bebe Rexha - I Got You

18 Alessia Cara - Scars To Your Beautiful

19 John Legend - Love Me Now

20 Imagine Dragons - Believer

21 Train - Play That Song

22 James Arthur - Safe Inside

Disc Two

1 Ed Sheeran - Castle On The Hill

2 Rag'n'Bone Man - Human

3 Rae Sremmurd - Black Beatles [feat. Gucci Mane]

4 Bruno Mars - 24K Magic

5 Sean Paul - No Lie [feat. Dua Lipa]

6 Machine Gun Kelly and Camila Cabello - Bad Things

7 Drake - Fake Love

8 Martin Garrix and Dua Lipa - Scared To Be Lonely

9 Tom Zanetti - You Want Me [feat. Sadie Ama]

10 Stormzy - Big For Your Boots

11 Sage The Gemini - Now and Later

12 Snakehips and MØ - Don't Leave

13 Tinie Tempah - Text From Your Ex [feat. Tinashe]

14 Sigala and Digital Farm Animals - Only One

15 Naughty Boy - Should've Been Me [feat. Kyla and Popcaan]

16 Mura Masa - Love$ick [feat. A$AP Rocky]

17 Major Lazer - Run Up [feat. PARTYNEXTDOOR and Nicki Minaj]

18 Zara Larsson - So Good [feat. Ty Dolla $ign]

19 M.O - Not In Love [feat. Kent Jones]

20 The xx - On Hold

21 Rag'n'Bone Man - Skin

22 Coldplay - Everglow (Single Mix)

Missing out due to rights issues:

Adele - Water Under The Bridge

The Weeknd - I Feel It Coming [feat. Daft Punk]

ZAYN and Taylor Swift - I Don't Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker)

Taking a bit of a risk with 'Digital Love' but I think that'll be an easy hit soon enough. Similarly with 'Issues', 'Solo Dance' and 'I Got You', though those are already climbing the top 100.

I think Bravo Hits finalise their track listings way before they even release the cover so Ed's songs weren't released when the initial track listing was made. I think he'll be more of a numbered NOW artist and maybe on the more important spin-offs.

18: Aretha Franklin - (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman

19: Bette Midler - Wind Beneath My Wings

20: Ben E. King - Stand By Me

Disc 2:

01: The Rembrandts - I'll Be There For You (Theme from 'Friends')

Not the best track listing, but better than NOW's 2 disc attempt

I think Bravo Hits finalise their track listings way before they even release the cover so Ed's songs weren't released when the initial track listing was made. I think he'll be more of a numbered NOW artist and maybe on the more important spin-offs.

I'm not sure...Baby by Bakermat was only released last week for example and Paris by Chainsmokers came out a week after Ed. It's maybe possible they knew about these releases beforehand, but not a month ago I wouldn't have thought. Also, a few of these only started to smash or emerge in Germany in the last week or two, and some showed no signs of doing so a month ago, so I reckon this tracklist was finalised in the last few days. You may be right that Ed just appears on the numbered Now editions though. Here's the full tracklist for Bravo Hits 96 btw:

I put my faves in Bold. Not the best Bravo Hits, but good non-the-less. Shocking to see a Sia Soundtrack song and not Move Your Body :o

I just hope he's doing a Drake and only allowing his music onto numbered NOWs

Literally DYING at 'Oops I Did It Again' 😂😂😂😂

I told my mother about this track listing and when I said Oops... she thought it was a fart joke and that all mothers fart  She's not impressed. Not surprised though. She loves Rock music.
