I am gobsmacked about the amount of artists being omitted from the album despite having massive hits in the 70s: Showaddywaddy, Bay City Rollers, Slade, Boomtown Rats, Squeeze, Mud, T Rex, Tony Orlando & Dawn, Boney M, Elvis Presley, Bee Gees, Ian Dury & The Blockheads, Pop Muzik, The Real Thing, Mungo Jerry, Gary Numan, Tubeway Army, Pink Floyd, Pretenders (although "Brass In Pocket" is an 80s #1, it still entered the charts in the 70s)

I'm also gobsmacked that Rivers Of Babylon isn't on there.l

I wish they set a time at when they will be revealing it. Hope it's 10am. I hope from NOW 96 next year, they bring them back on vinyl and also, they should release explicit versions of their albums exclusively on digital download

Gutted that both Suicide Squad songs and Jonas Blue's new song have missed out. At least we got "One Dance". Bit annoyed that Kendrick Lamar has been omitted from both songs he features on

Wilkinson and JP Cooper tho? As if they'll ever be hits of any kind...

And no Bruno Mars or The Weeknd but we have Michael Bublé and Charlie Puth

A handful of rather unexpected choices, it has to be said. I'm glad One Dance is on there, even if I'm not wild about the song, looks like it's closing CD1, with DJ Snake opening CD2, unless CD1 has 21 tracks and CD2 has 24, which is not impossible but seems unbalanced.

So this years John Lewis track isn't appearing on Now 95 then, but good to see Sigma and Birdy, which is out on Friday!

So Drake is the last track on CD 1 then? If not CD 1 will have 21 tracks and CD2 will have 24?

Edit: Looks like goodelta and I are on the same wavelength

Whose to say that the John Lewis ad might be one of the lesser known songs such as James TW or JP Cooper?

In any case, it's a pretty alright effort, and with 45 songs I'm pleased with the quantity.

Of the missed songs, I would really have liked to have Twenty One Pilots, Kideko and the other single by Fifth Harmony.

I'd expect Drake is track 1 of disc 2 tbh!

I guess it's not impossible for the John Lewis song to be added later, normally it says TBA but it could still be slotted in on disc 1 if Drake actually is on disc 2?

Got to be the worst Now tracklist in a while . Or the music I like is increasingly disappearing from the chart or not eligible for selection. Either way, worst since at least 2012.

"Crank It" is on its way to becoming a hit so I imagine if it's a massive hit by next year, we'll have it on NOW 96

John Lewis rocking that tropical house vibe for the 2K16 heartstrings tug.

erm wtf at JP Cooper, Michael Bublé and Wilkinson who have barely any chance of being future hits  Unless JP Cooper's used in an advert like Grace was last year (when we all thought that was a wtf inclusion then it turned out to be a big hit).
