Too bad he didn't bring a chorus along with him.
2008 called they want their faux-power anthems to stay in the DNQ zone where they belong.

Stig Rasta has written one of the songs in the longlist (new G:Son much) and it sounds like its got legs for the NF

It definitely sounds like Daniel Levi or whoever the Estonian guy of the now is could reasonably be singing this in Eesti Laul.

So the official longlist is out there but we'll only bother posting that on here once they've narrowed it down to the last 15. The two of note that I want to bring up are Lora who's the most well known of the bunch and there's a live version of the song she submitted which she performed at some (pretty big we'd assume) Awards show so this is probably the early favourite.

Also, remember that 'Tear Up The Dark' song that got turfed out of the UK selection but the demo appeared online? Well, one of Ovidiu's backing singers from last year ended up nabbing it for herself. Certainly interesting to compare it to what DID make the UK shortlist now isn't it?

Another one of note that was submitted. Camp as tents, but it may do very very well in a sea of ballads.

omg this is a BOP.

It's getting LOADS of hype, have just listened to it myself. It's not quite novelty and it's not quite mega Romanian party banger, I feel like it needs to go one way or the other. That said, the last minute of the song is fantastic and actually becomes a bit euphoric and the whole thing surely lends itself to big staging. Cezar seemed to straddle novelty and serious to its detriment initially, but the staging in Malmo moved it over to novelty to its benefit. I think this could do the same!

Either way, it's miles better than Moment of Silence so woop for that!

Adam and Rob will like this I imagine...

Totally on board with Yodel It! now, that last minute is just FIRE!
Omg Yodel It must win, tune
'Yodel It!' is amazing. It's VERY 2010, but what a nice little bop it is! Ilinca has a great, lovely and powerful voice.

Yodel It! has won the semi-final after gaining 60 points from a possible 60 from the juries, there was no televote. However televoting only decides the final and the "Romanian One Direction" did sneak through in 9th so are still a big threat unfortunately.

Xandra and MIHAI were 2nd and 3rd in the semi-final.

The favourites to win
We don't have any odds available but it is widely considered to be a race between two acts, fan favourites Ilinca feat. Alex Florea and the "Romanian One Direction" Maxim feat. Nicolae Voiculeț who have a very large and active fanbase in Romania. If there is to be a big surprise, Instinct and MIHAI are considered next in line for the title.
I wasn't BLOWN away by 'Yodel It!' the first time I heard it in studio form, however the live version has a certain charm to it. I mean it's sort of destined to become a Romanian entry I feel.
