The Vinyl is now available for pre-order on Amazon (UK): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Glory-Deluxe-Versi...eywords=britney

For £19, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than importing via britneyspears.com. I cancelled my order which was otherwise £34 + £20 delivery + £18 import charge (incl. Royal Mail fee) = £72.

Christ.

Oh wow, I'm surprised you were able to cancel it! I have some friends who tried the same thing as you but missed the boat - they were told it was too late to do so because they'd already gone into production. You're very lucky to have dodged that bullet, congrats on that.

Rumour is that Britney wants "Love Me Down" and RCA wants "Slumber Party" or "Just Luv Me"

Go with whatever Britney wants! They should realise this by now!

I like 'Slumber Party', but I'm surprised at how many people want that to be the 2nd single! 'Love Me Down' is definitely the preferred option for me, out of the two!

The problem I have with Slumber Party being 2nd is that is too similar to Ariana's current single "Side To Side" and I feel it would lose the battle.

As for "Just Luv Me" (forgot to add its an RCA choice too), it would be another slow song, and after "Make Me" its not the best choice.

The thing about what Brit/RCA want is just some made up rumour.

I love Love Me Down a lot too, but there's no way it'd work on radio and the GP the way Slumber Party OR Just Luv Me would. As pop fans I think it's important to note that our taste is more complex and open minded than the general public.

I really want DYWCO. :(

I feel the same with that song as I do with most of the album, the general public are far too basic to get it and it would flop massively. Just look at the chart right now, pure pop like DYWCO doesn't do well, there needs to be some kind of urban or tropical like beat for a song to do well on streaming, annoyingly. They have to go with a safer choice for single 2 and probably 3. I'm all for a fan favourite single 4, if we were ever to get there.

Yeah, I was told no when i tried.

I think at this point I'm just like, release the good songs and forget about the charts. Clearly radio isnt gonna be here for her, might as well make take some risks

Slaying that top 100 like a true icon

What kind of "worst purchase ever" thread teas

All of those are good single choices but I'd take one of "Love Me Down" or "Just Luv Me" - I don't know how long this iHeartMedia boycott will last (tbh f*ck them), so LMD would tackle different radio formats all at once and will end up leading to a sleeper hit (maybe a moderate one a la "Needed Me"), while "Just Luv Me" could do the same while being within the current sound. I say it's all about the timing.

What, is there actually an iHeart boycott!?

I don't think so, they are promoting her on their social media.

I think they should go with Just Luv Me, the other two don't scream single material.

Just Luv Me is a surefire single I think but I don't want it immediately after Make Me, it's too similar sounding, would prefer some variation!
Since Ariana's Side to Side has become a hit, I've heard quite a few people say that Reggae pop is going to become some kind of trend. Given Slumber Party has been described as a song with a Reggae beat, I think it's probably a really good idea to release this ASAP, if there's going to be a trend, it's always good to be one of the first artists to jump on the wagon, rather than one of the last.
