Posted October 30, 20168 yr Here's a selection of songs that are gaining or doing well on various world and Spotify charts. Nevada - The Mack [feat. Mark Morrison & Fetty Wap] cKl40P06ScM Likely top 10 contender, people love a tropical house rework plus it's already top 50 on UK Spotify. LP - Lost On You hn3wJ1_1Zsg #1 hit in Bulgaria and France and making a few other European top 40s. This sounds like a huge hit in the waiting if it ever gets pushed, could be next year's Lukas Graham. Starley - Call On Me (Ryan Riback Remix) Xjni638z4Ro Doing reasonably well on Spotify at the moment so should be a chart contender by next year. MiC LOWRY - Oh Lord -GzqeHBATxY Big sample of 80s classic 'In The Air Tonight' so should easily become a hit. James Hersey - Miss You PfPfGknEjXE Nice pop/chill-dance song. Can't see it being very big but it's bubbling under on Spotify.
October 30, 20168 yr STILL waiting for this to do something (yeah I concede it's never gonna take off here) 6ATjxh-pwlQ
October 30, 20168 yr I love this time of the year - the start of the year is always the most fun time for the charts because new artists break through and you never know what's going to get to #1  Will make some predix later
October 30, 20168 yr I can see Just Say by KDA and Tinashe being the festive/new year dance hit...it is starting to pick up now on itunes and it is only C list at the minute.
October 30, 20168 yr Call On Me sounds promising on first listen, I swear it samples another track in places though.
October 30, 20168 yr I'm a big fan of LP, so hope Lost In You is a hit Despite the weirs stage name, LP is a solo female singer-songwriter, American but I think of Italian origin There was already a bit of buzz around her with her previous song, Muddy Waters, as it was used in the season finale of Orange is the New Black, and the song is amazing, sounds a bit like Hozier's Take me to church in parts... October 30, 20168 yr The only one which sounds huge is the Fetty Wap one tbh. Million Reasons and AYo will be hits as will new Shakira song in Spain. New Spice Girls too.
October 30, 20168 yr Call On Me sounds promising on first listen, I swear it samples another track in places though. Just listened to it, it doesn't sample the or isn't a cover of the Eric Prydz song as I hoped it would be.
October 30, 20168 yr How about this? I'd love for this to smash: M7zU29NSQmk Also really hoping to see Tom Zanetti and KDA smash it, KDA would be a welcome surprise as it doesn't remotely sound like a commercial hit.
October 30, 20168 yr John Gibbons Would I Lie To You is still hanging around too on itunes, so reminiscent of the 80s remixes period that was around about 12 years ago, I hope radio stations can play this and it becomes a hit.
October 30, 20168 yr Also really hoping to see Tom Zanetti and KDA smash it, KDA would be a welcome surprise as it doesn't remotely sound like a commercial hit. The KDA one is a bit like the Stonebridge and Therese ones last decade, Put Em High and Take Me Away, quite 'deep' sounding funky house with jazzy vocals. It would be great if it was a hit.
October 30, 20168 yr The KDA one is a bit like the Stonebridge and Therese ones last decade, Put Em High and Take Me Away, quite 'deep' sounding funky house with jazzy vocals. It would be great if it was a hit. I am familiar with both tracks and I don't really see the similarity... again...
October 30, 20168 yr You must have mentioned that Stonebridge comparison on about 10 separate threads by now
October 30, 20168 yr You must have mentioned that Stonebridge comparison on about 10 separate threads by now  I just wish he would stop, he literally never has a clue what he's going on about.
October 30, 20168 yr I am familiar with both tracks and I don't really see the similarity... again... Not in melody, but in the atmosphere of the instrumental (Put Em High has whirring sounds like Just Say) and Therese's vocal style is a bit like Tinashe's in Just Say. But yes it is less commercial sounding than either Put Em High or Take Me Away.
