November 28, 20168 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2016 | #221-230 #220. The Aston Shuffle - High With You 378 points 65-70-56-60-75-59-74-78-69-74-70-84-x The Aston Shuffle came back with a great deep house tune, an unexpected change in direction for them. Unfortunately it missed the top 50 but it is one of a few tracks to make the EOY regardless. #219. Mura Masa (feat. Bonzai) - What If I Go? 381 points 91-x(2)-87-59-30-31-37-35-57-x Mura Masa broke through this year with a few songs getting Radio 1 attention especially this one which is quite lovely really. His latest release 'Love$ick' is great too and it will probably be another hit for him in this chart. He's certainly a unique producer though with his focus being more on the electronic than the dance side of EDM. #218. EFF - Stimme 381 points 29-72-x(6)-70-69-53-50-52-70-75-98-92-x Felix Jaehn's German language project with Mark Foster 'EFF' released their debut single 'Stimme' which stays true to his sound and is another great tropical house tune, although I would prefer it with English vocals. #217. Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris - Hype 389 points 13-43-57-56-88-48-46-68-x Needless to say I was very hyped for this single although it wasn't quite as good as I wanted it to be and it got overshadowed by Calvin Harris' other single at the time. Good to have Dizzee still around at least though he's not as great as he used to be. #216. Throttle - Money Maker 390 points 76-25-17-20-30-48-x Good funky house tune this, Throttle has been one to watch for a while now and even did a song with Oliver Heldens. Hopefully he follows this up soon. #215. 99 Souls (feat. Destiny's Child and Brandy) - The Girl Is Mine 390 points ...-46-53-30-26-30-68-78-100-94-95-x This was #40 in last year's EOY and following its UK release it had a little more life left in it in this chart. Still a brilliant tune which I'm glad became a huge hit, but it's been too long and I want another 99 Souls tune now. #214. Semedo and Curtis Gabriel - Some People Say 398 points 47-58-51-22-21-42-68-x Found this one off Spotify Discovery, quite a bangin' house choon. #213. Rihanna - Same Ol' Mistakes 399 points 76-81-63-47-25-36-41-60-81-x One of the best album tracks off 'ANTI', as it turns out this is actually a note-for-note cover of a Tame Impala song but she does it really well and it's really well produced. #212. Martin Solveig (feat. Sam White) - +1 404 points ...-24-31-12-32-62-63-83-97-x Another tail-off from last year, this returned to the top 20 following the new year effect. It really is a bit of a choon but his follow-up 'Do It Right' was even better! More on that much later on. #211. Steve James (feat. Clairity) - Renaissance 406 points 83-x(2)-61-78-x-57-87-83-x-80-35-38-50-70-84-x Newcomer Steve James is one to watch for, he's even younger than I am yet he's making tunes like this. We'll see him once more in the countdown with 'In My Head' which I sent to BJSC. 7BZ0WUm_v54
November 28, 20168 yr Love Stimme :music: It might pop up in my EOY chart too! (or it might not - i haven't calculated it yet :P It peaked at #4 though)
November 28, 20168 yr Loving And Wot, What If I Go & +1 from those! The first 2 are somewhere to be found in my list this year.
November 28, 20168 yr Author Kiss it Better, Mø, Sia, Major Lazor and Jason Derulo are my favourites so far :wub:good to hear, hope you like even more of the songs I've got further up the chart :cheer: Light It Up is fantastic, one of my favourite dance songs of the past year! Also love Kamikaze and The Greatest from the last couple of batches :DAs you can tell there's a LOT of dance songs in the past year I prefer to 'Light It Up' but it's a bit of a choon (Lean On >>>>> tho) Not heard Night Train before but it is a good track :Dhope you make some more discoveries from the EOY, there'll be quiet a few tracks that you'd like here ^_^
November 28, 20168 yr Author Love Stimme :music: It might pop up in my EOY chart too! (or it might not - i haven't calculated it yet :P It peaked at #4 though)hopefully it gets a mention in your EOY then. With a #4 peak its likely it will. Loving And Wot, What If I Go & +1 from those! The first 2 are somewhere to be found in my list this year.yep I knew you liked those first two even more than I do. hopefully not all your faves drop out before the Hot 100 tho :o
November 29, 20168 yr Mura Masa, Rihanna, Martin Solvieg and 99 souls all amazing  My faves are Mura Masa feat Bonzai and 99 Souls feat Brandy and DC  The Mura Masa song will be a hard time for him to follow was perfect electionic number, that being said the next single (Love$ick) is pretty fab too
November 29, 20168 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2016 | #211-220 #210. Post Malone - White Iverson 407 points 71-42-51-40-30-38-51-80-99-x Nice chilled out rap song which was a US hit earlier this year. He's not the best rapper but I do like the production. #209. The Swiss - Kiss To Kiss (Amtrac Remix) 409 points 43-21-21-20-50-65-78-x Great house remix that we discovered from BJSC. I'm really a sucker for this kind of production, and the vocal is great also. #208. Salvatore Ganacci (feat. Enya and Alex Aris) - Dive 409 points 65-41-48-68-50-55-35-37-... Another BJSC entry which we discovered from Dobbo's chart before it eventually got sent. With its 'I Don't Wanna Know' Enya sample it was fairly instant for me, it really works as a chill-trap song and Alex's vocal is brilliant too. #207. David Guetta (feat. Sia and Fetty Wap) - Bang My Head 409 points ...-32-52-44-40-55-52-49-78-98-x This stayed in the chart for a few more weeks at the start of the year which puts it just outside the top 200, it's yet another brilliant song from Guetta and this reworking of it eventually got a larger playcount than the original. #206. Mssingno - Scope 409 points 46-44-52-41-66-94-x(25)-53-62-69-74-x Mssingno came back this year with new single 'Scope' which we got into and then once again when it was entered to BJSC half a year later. #205. Hannah Wants (feat. Kristine W) - Just 411 points 65-39-19-19-33-55-66-x Hannah Wants eventually followed up her big single 'Rhymes' with another decent tech house tune. #204. Bisou (feat. Kelli-Leigh) - Ain't Got Nobody 412 points 26-15-18-18-43-74-x Heard this on R1 Dance Anthems and fell in love, it's a good house tune. And the Kelli-Sleigh feature *_ #203. SeeB (feat. Jacob Banks) - What Do You Love 415 points 80-34-17-17-19-24-... SeeB have had a big year definitely, this is their newest single which isn't quite as great as their other two yet to come but a great tune anyway. #202. Illenium (feat. Joni Fatora) - Fortress 404 points 70-33-18-27-42-51-82-84-86-x When chillstep is done this well we always get on board, and this got 18 points from us in BJSC when we also sent a chillstep entry #coincidence. #201. Clean Bandit (feat. Sean Paul and Anne-Marie) - Rockabye 416 points 26-16-16-17-14-... Clean Bandit followed up 'Tears' with a much better song 'Rockabye' which after 5 weeks in the chart just misses the top 200 but it could make next year's. cW7yK0fCl4Y
November 29, 20168 yr Rockabye and What Do You Love :music: A past #1 in my chart and possibly a future one!
November 29, 20168 yr Hi Dan White Iverson is actually pretty catchy, it's a shame it never quite caught on in the UK like some other crossover US rap hits. Wonder if he'll ever get another hit of any sort now that his Justin Bieber collab is over too  I do still prefer Tears to Rockabye overall (the classic Clean Bandit strings just CANNOT be beat) but the latter is still a lovely song and Anne-Marie especially sounds fantastic on it. Glad it has turned into such a surprise hit, would never have expected over a month (probably) at number #1 for it. Yay at recognition for Same Ol' Mistakes too, I knew of the Tame Impala track before but I never knew Rihanna would be able to cover it so well. Was one of my initial highlights from ANTI like you said and I love it when I go back to it. It probably wouldn't have been a great single choice but it's a shame the mainstream public won't have heard its excellence. Loving what I know so far Dan!
November 29, 20168 yr Author Mura Masa, Rihanna, Martin Solvieg and 99 souls all amazing  My faves are Mura Masa feat Bonzai and 99 Souls feat Brandy and DC  The Mura Masa song will be a hard time for him to follow was perfect electionic number, that being said the next single (Love$ick) is pretty fab too :wub:Love$ick is sounding very good at the moment too, it's too early to say if it can outdo What If I Go in my chart though. Rockabye and What Do You Love :music: A past #1 in my chart and possibly a future one!Good to see another person here liking What Do You Love! I just wish they were getting a proper commercial push as they're so great and have potential. Hi Dan White Iverson is actually pretty catchy, it's a shame it never quite caught on in the UK like some other crossover US rap hits. Loving what I know so far Dan!It seems that not all the US rap hits get a chance here which is a shame as many of them are great. At least we're more open to them now. There's still a few strings in 'Rockabye' at least so they've not completely changed their sound. I do think it's a much better written song though and unique in terms of chart hits. Rihanna's got a few more entries in here to come so stay tuned~
November 29, 20168 yr The Girl Is Mine and Rockabye are fantastic but I've found this year in DNCE to be absolute tripe sadly.
November 29, 20168 yr Author The Girl Is Mine and Rockabye are fantastic but I've found this year in DNCE to be absolute tripe sadly.DNCE certainly are absolute tripe :heehee: there's been loads of great dance songs though :(
November 30, 20168 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2016 | #191-200 #200. Martin Garrix - Oops 417 points 29-28-27-15-38-77-77-100-x Martin Garrix starts the top 200 with the first of five entries. It's been a huge year for him and this was one of quite a few promotional singles he released. Very retro video game inspired. #199. Lifelike and Kris Menace - Discopolis 2.0 418 points 77-76-75-63-91-53-52-49-38-47-80-x-93-x To celebrate its 10 year anniversary Lifelike and Kris Menace remade their big house tune 'Discopolis' to give it a fresher sound. I prefer this to the original actually even if not much has changed to it. #198. Stormzy - Shut Up 419 points ...-21-19-13-31-51-74-79-x This got a little resurgence in my chart following its surprise UK success. He hasn't released any great songs since sadly, maybe he'll surprise us with another Christmas #1 campaign though. #197. The Chainsmokers (feat. Daya) - Don't Let Me Down 420 points 82-83-89-83-99-90-78-66-x(2)-95-98-88-95-74-55-58-53-62-76-75-x This really took its time to get going as I was initially quite disappointed with it following 'Roses'. Whilst I still much prefer that, 'DLMD' is a very decent tune. It's also the unluckiest song ever to miss the top 50 #196. Elle King - Ex's & Oh's 421 points 68-41-33-49-62-37-55-72-80-92-x It was quite good seeing this in the chart, we don't usually get female indie-pop. It's a decent song too. #195. Big Wild (feat. Tove Stryke) - Aftergold 424 points 89-78-64-40-35-25-48-45-61-x And now another song that wasn't a hit, this one's quite kool~ #194. Eric Prydz - Last Dragon 425 points 29-24-33-47-50-92-x-55-59-95-x Eric Prydz released an album this year which had a few great songs on it including this. It's just progressive house as Eric Prydz does it. #193. Drake - Fake Love 426 points 16-14-13-16-20-... If you hate Drake you can GEEEETTT OOOOUUUUTTTT. He has four entries in the Top 200 of which this is the most recent. Love the island vibes and the ridiculously catchy hook, just further proof that 2016 really is the year of Drake. #192. Tink vs. My Digital Enemy - Clocks 427 points 35-50-78-59-27-42-45-55-91-x Particularly love the wobble bass in the drop, everything else is great too. #191. Nimmo - Dancing Makes Us Brave 430 points 81-27-26-14-15-13-... Nimmo had two minor top 100 hits in my chart followed by this big tune. I think they could go on to great things next year although sadly they weren't nominated on BBC Sound of 2017. It's a big feel good dancey pop anthem which we need more of. bPmQZt6nq-8
November 30, 20168 yr Don't Let Me Down is probably my favourite Chainsmokers track yet, though't you'd love it too, shocked it never even made your top 50 :o It has such a good drop and I love the vocals on it too, it's way better than Closer imo (although I like that too). I agree with you that Fake Love is quite the bop though, Drake's really been on a roll at the moment. I do prefer Too Good and One Dance though so I'm not too bothered that it hasn't been as big as those in the official charts.
November 30, 20168 yr Aftergold is the only song out of that bunch I've actually charted :music: Exs & Ohs was good though, even if it took the UK ages to hear it.
November 30, 20168 yr Loving Rockabye, Don't Let Me Down and Bang My Head from the last couple of sections :D I much prefer the single remix of the latter over the original, even with Fetty Wap being on it :')
November 30, 20168 yr Author Thermo's hot hits | EOY 2016 | #181-190 #190. Anton Powers - Love You Better 431 points 41-32-26-20-26-58-88-86-x Powers followed up his Philip George collab with an even better (no pun intended) song, although it's nothing truly groundbreaking it's quite a good tune. #189. AlunaGeorge - Not Above Love 438 points 61-22-24-26-20-15-... AlunaGeorge had a massive year, with all four of their singles from 'I Remember' being big chart hits... in my personal chart at least. They really deserve better commercially. :( This is their latest single which is still peaking and it's another big tune. Look out for their other hits later on in the chart. #188. Cheat Codes and Danté Klein - Let Me Hold You (Turn Me On) 438 points 100-81-30-25-30-47-43-57-78-87-95-x Following on from 'Sex' was another reworking of an older tune this time from Kevin Lyttle. It's not half as great as 'Sex' but did well enough to make my EOY top 200. We'll see Cheat Codes once more way higher in the countdown. #187. Seven Lions, Illenium and Said The Sky (feat. Hailene) - Rush Over Me 439 points 99-50-15-19-20-24-41-... A big chillstep collab between three of the genre's biggest names was always going to be intriguing. And this doesn't disappoint either, there's so much emotion in the song. #186. Mr. Belt & Wezol and Daser - Faith 440 points 32-15-18-21-34-53-94-x They haven't been quite as great on the whole this year but Mr. Belt & Wezol can still deliver a bangin' future house tune. #185. DJ Fresh and High Contrast - How Love Begins 440 points 58-43-59-x(2)-58-48-36-45-58-80-85-x Not DJ Fresh's finest moment and as it was the only thing he released all year so once again no DJ Fresh in the top 100. Nice rave throwback vibes to this though. And who knows maybe his Diplo collab to be released soon will give him another hit? #184. DJ Inappropriate - Small Loan of a Million Dollars 445 points 69-19-40-26-54-75-76-x(3)-77-53-x-98-79-x It's exactly what you think it is - indeed someone remixed Donald Trump's interview where he hilariously stated that his father gave him a "small" loan of a million dollars. It's quite a bangin' tune though and you gotta love the vocal chopping. #183. Bastille - Good Grief 451 points 75-56-52-46-39-40-38-45-67-x Bastille didn't exactly come back with another 'Pompeii' but that would've been very difficult. This one was still good though, nice little indie tune. #182. Platinum Doug - Brown Sugar (Croatia Squad Remix) 454 points 85-x(15)-47-33-45-37-44-48-51-65-x Insert yet another 'bangin' house tune' comment here. This one's very funky too though. #181. Bryson Tiller - Don't 468 points 92-91-35-66-47-28-66-52-43-69-75-88-93-x Here's another US rap hit that really should've been a bigger UK hit than it was. Very fresh sounding and even without a chorus has you hooked. Zk6fEZYSojU
November 30, 20168 yr Author Stimme is amazing, good to see you loving that. :wub:It's a bangin' choon! Don't Let Me Down is probably my favourite Chainsmokers track yet, though't you'd love it too, shocked it never even made your top 50 :o It has such a good drop and I love the vocals on it too, it's way better than Closer imo (although I like that too). I agree with you that Fake Love is quite the bop though, Drake's really been on a roll at the moment. I do prefer Too Good and One Dance though so I'm not too bothered that it hasn't been as big as those in the official charts.I don't know for some reason it just never fully clicked for me but it is great. I'd say I prefer Fake Love to Too Good (although that is still to come as it has its full chart run), One Dance slays harder though. Aftergold is the only song out of that bunch I've actually charted :music: Exs & Ohs was good though, even if it took the UK ages to hear it.At least someone else charted Aftergold. Loving Rockabye, Don't Let Me Down and Bang My Head from the last couple of sections :D I much prefer the single remix of the latter over the original, even with Fetty Wap being on it :')It does seem that you like more dance singles than usual this year  even if we don't often share absolute faves. Haha, everyone's gotta love a bit of Sir Fetty Wap *__*
November 30, 20168 yr Hooray for Dive! Really liking What Do You Love & Rockabye atm both doing big things in my chart. Shut Up is still amazing over a year on. Great to see Drake doing things in your chart, he has 4 tracks in my top 100 :D Love You Better was fantastic
