I'd prefer Jo Cox over both the choir and x factor. The choir thing for me is now beginning to get just as tedious. I wished they release away from Christmas week sometimes.

 

Besides the living years cover is a bit rubbish.

I think the choir will underperform seeing as the Jo Cox tribute is getting more attention and it usually is only one charity single that does well per year (ignoring The X Factor being a charity single as well)

Definitely looks like the Jo Cox one is going to have better chance than the choir one. It's that, Matt or Clean Bandit now I think. Louis I'd rule out now and I don't think Mariah will be able to do enough streams to make up for lack of downloads.

 

So tempted to put a bit of money on Clean Bandit at those odds but after I screwed up my Eurovision bets this year I don't want to risk it!

If supermarkets are going to stock the CD single, that could make a huge difference.

 

Another factor to consider is how good or bad the song is. Has anyone actually heard it yet?!

Clean Bandit's odds are shortening a lot now. Decided to stick on £10 on them at 20/1 for now and for joining I have been given another £20 in free bets. Going to wait until tomorrow to decide who to place it on. I'm thinking Clean Bandit, Jo Cox and Matt Terry will be the top 3 but it really depends on the next few days.

 

Jo Cox has flown up to favourite now.

I put money on Ed Sheeran yesterday so he'd better release!

If Sheeran releases I'll be fuming.

 

Actually to be fair, if we cock up now, it does seem easily rectifiable at another date. They all seem to be stopping taking bets at different times. One I checked (can't remember which bookies) took them up until 16:00 on Fri 23rd, so if it is crystal clear from the midweeks who's going to be #1 I will probably put another bit on them to make sure I'm not losing out any cash.

I hope CB can get it. It's been awhile that a song just naturally got the Christmas #1 without it being a song from X-Factor or a campaigned song

I can't see past CB victory at this point, hopefully it's an exciting race tho.

If Clean Bandit are Christmas Number 1 next week, that would be 7 weeks on top, I can't see that happening on hopefully a very competitive week. So I'm hoping Ed Sheeran releases a surprise Christmas song, that would really spice it up.

I'll win £105 if Clean Bandit get it... for a second time though, I have an opportunity to cash out my bet on them and win myself around £7 again :lol: (I previously did this when I put £5 on them at 66/1 then cashed out after XF when they dropped to 9/1, kinda wishing I hadn't done so now!!1) which I'm tempted to do as I can't really see past the Jo Cox single getting the #1... but what if?

Nah I don't think it's worth cashing out, especially when lots of bookies are taking bets way into Christmas week.

 

If we see from the mids that it's a clear Jo Cox victory you could easily put enough on the charity song to make your money back. I still think Clean Bandit are the next most likely candidates to her.

I can see myself streaming all versions next week 😂😂
