So today marks two months until the Oscar nominations are announced :D I think we have all the trailers now, the reviews are coming in and the movies are gradually being released so let's start the prediction game that I ran last year. A couple of points are scored for each nominee guessed correctly and I shall give a bonus five for each WINNER you can guess correctly before the nominations are out. You can edit as much as you like before the deadline of let's say 22nd January but please make me aware of the edits!

BEST PICTURE (up to 10)

BEST DIRECTOR (5)

BEST ACTOR (5)

BEST ACTRESS (5)

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR (5)

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS (5)

An expansion on last year when I don't think I included director. If there's enough demand for anymore categories, perhaps we could add them in (animated feature?). My own predictions will come very shortly so GO GO GO

Feels really hard to pick a winner for supporting actor, definitely the category I struggled with the most

I will do this later but I must say Jessica in Miss Sloane is by far the best I've seen this year. Natalie Portman's accent in Jackie ruined the film for me it was so off, even though the rest of the performance was bad. I can see Amy Adams missing out a 6th year :(

Off how? Inconsistent? It sounds so similar to Jackie in the trailer and clips.

She comes in and out of it a lot, especially when raising her voice.

I keep reading that Emma Stone is actually tipped to win this year Best Actress category, and read very little about Natalie Portman.

I'm being BOLD and predicting Moonlight will win Best Picture, having seen neither it or La La Land, don't think there's any competition beyond that though. Best Actor seems like a lock for Casey, Actress could be Emma or Natalie but I think Isabelle is going to be a bit of a dark horse (watch her not even get nominated). Supporting wise it seems a lot more clear cut, Remy and Analise should win with ease.

Gonna say HIDDEN FIGURES in and SILENCE out for BP

Director, CLINT EASTWOOD out, MEL GIBSON in

Andrew Garfield up for Hacksaw Ridge over Silence

Isabelle in over Annette

Aaron Taylor Johnson in over Kevin Costner, with Dev Patel now winning

And finally Octavia Spencer to replace Greta
