Biggest rumour coming out of Croatian media is that Nina Kraljic's The Voice coach Jacques Houdek - a 6 time Dora national finalist himself - is going to be internally selected:

His most recent attempt ended up with him having to perform a version of "Lahor" which turned into "Celebrate" in Dusseldorf that year...

According to tabloid story.hr HRT has internally select Damir Kedzo & Zsa Zsa, and "a well-known UK lyricist (who'd done lyrics for previous Icelandic entries) is responsible for the English lyrics. An official announcement will be made next week."

So, I gotta admit this is a new one on me as promo tactics go but we now have an instrumental version of the Croatian song.

They say he's got a Pavarotti-esque style (which I'm assuming they're not just saying because he's fat but idk) and you can totally hear the operatic/symphonic style in that. I'm ~intrigued~ to hear what the final version of this sounds like.

What on earth? Well it certainly stands out, and impressive that he can sing that by himself and switch the singing styles constantly.
I don't mind the bits in English, but the rest isn't really my sort of thing. Think I'll be going back to it a few times though just because of how 'interesting' it is

Winner.

Or total mess on the stage, depends how they frame it, but either way this will be an incredible spectacle. I love it, Eurovision's confounded my expectations once again.

I'm another one who's fine with the English parts, and sounds like it could be quite a nice song as I love his "pop" voice. The opera parts completely ruin it, especially with the decision to make it a "duet" and do it every other line. Lends itself to memorable staging but aside from that it's not for me.

I don't like this very much. In terms of eurovision on the night, I do think it could go one way or the other though because of the two different styles.

It's not so jarring on a second listen, but I really do love the English parts and the instrumentation - the opera just brings it down for me.

I'd say this is a more likely qualifier than a non-qualifier though, I can really imagine it coming across live quite amazingly.

I'm actually quite sad about this! Coz his pop voice is actually really nice and turns the song into a Disney-type song. Then he goes and ruins it with his operatic voice (which seems quite weak when comparing to other Operatic voices).

It's a bizarre one due to it being a one-man duet!
