The Chainsmokers (ft.Halsey) - Closer PT2_F-1esPk 38- Following their #2 hit 'Don't Let Me Down', The Chainsmokers released their huge hit 'Closer' which features vocal from American singer Halsey. The track is their most successful to date, with it becoming one of the longest number one singles in the USA and spending a month at the top spot here in the UK. December 4, 20168 yr Hello Cameron Two great tracks there in your latest batch, TIWYCF especially is such a tune. Far better than We Found Love for me too so I'm glad we got another collab from them, they make for a great duo of tracks like both his Florence + the Machine collaborations too. Closer is a good track too, took a while to grow on me but was really loving it (once again gone off it a bit for now due to overplay). The Halsey bits are probably my favourite though!

December 9, 20168 yr LOVE Starving :wub: and Hymn for the Weekend is the first Coldplay song I've ever liked :lol: Raging was quite underwhelming for me following Stay :( he's yet to top Firestone for me!
December 10, 20168 yr Raging & Hymn For the Weekend were both really catchy when they came out! It's nice to see Calum Scott do so well in the charts, but is has stuck around a little too long :P
December 10, 20168 yr Starving is brilliant, didn't expect to like it as much as I do. Raging was a bit disappointing for me as was his album on the whole but I didn't mind hearing on the radio (or FIFA!)
December 10, 20168 yr Author Thanks guys! Dobbo- I LOVE his album despite some tracks being near enough identical

December 13, 20168 yr This One's For You really showcased Zara's voice - a great track! The Ocean was nice as well, but Inside the Lines is miles better imo
December 14, 20168 yr The Ocean is lovely, deserved to be a lot bigger than it was. :heart: Also a fan of Hold Up, definitely one of the best tracks from Lemonade!
December 14, 20168 yr Turns out I know all the songs you've listed so far so I'll be commenting a little on each one. 050 | "Hair" by Little Mix featuring Sean Paul Cute and quirky but weak by LM standards in my opinion. One of my least fave LM singles. {5/10} 049 | "After The Afterparty" by Charli XCX featuring Lil Yachty A very weak comeback from one of my fav singers from the 2014-15 period. I don't even know what this is supposed to be. {2/10} 048 | "Perfect Strangers" by Jonas Blue featuring JP Cooper One of my songs of the summer for sure. Such a summery smash, instantly makes me feel good! {10/10} 047 | "Make Me.." by Britney Spears featuring G-Eazy Very underwhelming as a comeback and definitely set the tone for my least favorite Britney era yet. {5/10} 046 | "Breathe" by SeeB featuring Neev Great follow-up to one of the biggest hits of the year. Loved this so much at first but kind of forgot about it after a while. {8/10} 045 | "Rockabye" by Clean Bandit featuring Sean Paul and Anne-Marie Best song of theirs since 'Rather Be'. Absolutely deserves to be the smash that it is! {10/10} 044 | "Tilted" by Christine and the Queens Nice crossover hit. Very surprised by the success though. Groovy but very cool! {6/10} 043 | "Girls Like" by Tinie Tempah featuring Zara Larsson Zara is the breakout star of 2016 for sure and I'm glad Tinie took advantage of that! Love this. {8/10} 042 | "Something In The Way You Move" by Ellie Goulding One of my favorite songs of 2015 got to be a minor hit this year! Deserved to do so much better. {10/10} 041 | "Can't Stop The Feeling" by Justin Timberlake Fun and happy summer smash. Grew old very quick though. Strange to see at Eurovision lol. {7/10} 040 | "Faded" by Alan Walker Amazing. One of the best songs of spring/winter. Haunting and beautiful at the same time. {9/10} 039 | "Treat You Better" by Shawn Mendes Good pop song but by no means Shawn's best. Didn't expect it to smash like it did. {6/10} 038 | "Closer" by The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey Another surprise hit. Expected this to fall out of the Top 40 quickly instead of ruling the top spot for a while lol. Don't really get the fuss. {5/10} 037 | "This Is What You Came For" by Calvin Harris featuring Rihanna Underwhelming successor to their last collaboration 'We Found Love'. Felt like they just expected this to smash based on the names involved rather than the quality of the song.. and they were right lol. {6/10} 036 | "Starving" by Hailee Steinfeld featuring Zedd and Grey Hailee so deserved this hit after 'Love Myself' semi-flopped last year. This is amazing. Top song! {9/10} 035 | "Dancing On My Own" by Calum Scott Borefest. I liked the live version of this when I saw it first. This grew old after like the second or third time that I heard it. {3/10} 034 | "Hymn for the Weekend" by Coldplay and Beyoncé Collab of the year possibly. Not quite as good as Coldplay's last collaboration (with Rihanna) but very good indeed. {8/10} 033 | "Raging" by Kygo featuring Kodaline Strange but somehow definitely works. Kygo is one of the best producers out there today and everything he touches turns to gold. {7/10} 032 | "Close" by Nick Jonas featuring Tove Lo Two of my favorite current artists coming together is always good news. This is sexy as f**k and this works on so many levels. {7/10} 031 | "The Ocean" by Mike Perry featuring Shy Martin Beautiful. I'm glad this got the attention it deserved and probably wouldn't have been a hit if it weren't for Spotify. {8/10} 030 | "Hold Up" by Beyoncé Horrible. I'm so disappointed with this Beyoncé era, especially the fact that this mess was released as a single and is constantly played on the radio. I'm a big Beyoncé fan but this album was her worst in my opinion. {1/10} 029 | "This One's For You" by David Guetta featuring Zara Larsson SMASH!! One of my absolute favorites of this year. Zara and David can do no wrong! Reminds me of my summer holiday and good times! {10/10}
