Some thoughts:

Oops at Finding Dory not getting an animation nomination, I bet Pixar were expecting another heap of critical acclaim but that film seemed to have a lot of criticisms.

Pleased with Tom Ford getting a director nod, Nocturnal Animals had a lot of style and is definitely deserving of a direction nod in the Oscars too. A bit worried it's not going to get (m)any Oscar noms but I really loved it :(

What is with all this Hugh Grant love for FFJ, I know the comedy/musical category isn't THAT hard to break into but he seems to be getting a lot of Oscars hype too  Jonah Hill was hardly amazing in War Dogs either..

Isabelle Huppert really seems to be picking up steam, think she may end up with a nomination at the Oscars and I think it will be Amy (or maybe Jessica) who loses her slot, want her to get a sixth nomination!

Thinking that the supporting actress category lot there is going to be the Oscars top 5 now. I adore Octavia Spencer so I hope she does get a nod although she is probably the least likely of those five ladies.

hailee steinfeld!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yassss at Hailee! Glad I ended up predicting her at the last second! Really desperate to see Edge Of Seventeen!

Though Arrival/Fences would get in best Drama pic and I was correct with my Silence full snub prediction! :o Will post a longer post later!

I hope the Oscars follow in recognising Andrew Garfield for Hacksaw Ridge instead. I'm impressed it got Film and Director nods too.

Elle might be the first foreign language movie I make an effort to go and see in the cinema. Trailer looks decent and the role sounds very strong.

Hmm... Jonah Hill for THAT role? Really? In that case, where was his nomination for his roles in the '21 Jump Street' franchise? I understand his buzz for 'The Wolf Of Wall Street', but this film?

'Deadpool' getting a nod too? I know it was a huge hit and it was good, but very overrated, it just seems a bit of an "errrm" choice for me. In fact this whole list puts into perspective just how "meh" 2016 was for films.

I suspect 'La La Land' to be the big winner overall. Film (Comedy or Musical), Actor (CoM), Actress (CoM) and Original Song are all certs, I'd imagine?

Best Actor (Drama) I cannot call at all though. Not seen any of them but from the trailer alone Denzel's performance gives me shivers! But I'm a big fan of Andrew Garfield and will for him to do well, so I wouldn't be mad at seeing him win, either. But I think Joel could be the dark horse of that category! I'd guess it's Natalie's or Amy's to lose in the Best Actress (Drama) category. But Ruth could be the dark horse in that category too! In fact 'Loving' has a good shout at all their nominated awards. I have also resigned myself to the fact that Viola Davis will be winning Supporting Actress

Would LOVE for Justin to win best original song, but I just can't see him beating 'City Of Stars'!

i know it hasn't been released in the uk yet but moonlight is f***ing GORGEOUS and deserves all the accolades it's been getting. i implore everyone to see it once it's released there.
