People have been fired from TV for less (well maybe not less but old mistakes - see Shila Iqbal in this, Chris Fountain in Corrie). Quite convenient that Jessie is leaving too, they can easily just write him out off-screen as going to follow Jessie if need be.

The Mirror have said Emmerdale have sacked him.

 

Probably deserved but it’s a shame as it’ll probably hang over him for a long while and it means he’s probably unlikely to get acting work for a long while now.

 

It’s a shame CBB isn’t running as he could’ve been a candidate for the January season of that they love a controversial ex soap star.

 

Recast for the character likely?

 

Also with immediate effect does that mean he’s still gonna appear on screen with scenes he’s already filmed but his exit will just be an off screen one which he won’t get the chance to film.

Yeah, I assume it means they'll air whatever he's filmed but nothing after that, so he'll just get a rushed off-screen exit (with Shila Iqbal's character, they just had Manpreet being like "she got a job in Ibiza".

Shame as I liked Ellis as a character plus Asan is hot.

 

But yeah given the nature of what happened, he had to be sacked

A recast would be the best option as his Father was introduced for a big storyline.

That said, before the arrival of his father they were an extremely boring family that i had no interest in.

 

The entire family have been nothing but dull ever since they arrived. Get rid of them all.

I agree they just dont work at all, I never liked Marlon either and all them tied together makes it even more dull.

Marlon made me laugh last night when he bopped Als nose :lol:

 

Don’t know how I’m feeling with Mandy coming back though especially as it’s full time this time around (well she said on a backstage video she’s been on set for 7 weeks).

 

I can’t see Lisa Riley committing more than just a year / 18 months though.

I don't mind Billy, I think he's the only one who has actually fit in and kind of works, he was in with the factory lot and he's got a budding relationship with Dawn, idk it's ujust if you compare him to Ellis who basically had about a week with Victoria, he's integrated so much better and will be fine without the family, whereas Ellis you'd barely notice if they did just write him out and not say, if this whole thing didn't happen :lol: Jessie was just terrible pretty much the whole time and being tied to Marlon didn't help that at all.

 

This kind of makes Al pointless now too without either his ex-wife or son but I guess he's got his businesses and connection to Kim.

I’m still a bit sad we had a Rachel death off screen.

 

I’m not a fan of characters being killed off screen even when it’s characters like Rachel. I still feel prison would’ve perhaps been a bit more realistic like maybe she was abusing a new boyfriend or something idk but killing off two members of the same family off screen!

 

Al seems an interesting character so far he’s definitely watchable and I like the smugness he’s bringing tbh. He’s more watchable at this point of his arc on the show than Jessie and Ellis. Him and Billy are the best from that family tbh I kind of wish now that he was actually Billy’s dad and not Ellis’s it might’ve worked better for the story too now given what’s happened off screen.

 

Mandy Dingle I hope is toned down though but she can only work with what’s given to her and at the minute that isn’t that much tbh. How old is her son supposed to be though?

 

Also I loved the Kim Tate scenes tonight and Graham’s scenes too.

 

 

That family is ridiculously cursed, Ali in the car crash off screen, Ruby in the helicopter crash thing at Debbie and Pete's wedding and now Rachel from a random heart condition - poor Amelia must be bricking it :lol:

 

 

At least Ruby had an on screen death though :lol:

 

Tbh Dan and Amelia are like spare parts on the show now. He’s sort of like Emmerdales version of Kirk from CS and at the time Kerry was like the Beth of the show.

 

He’s one character who feels like has come to a natural sort of end though and I don’t feel many would really notice or miss him if he were to go. But not necessarily kill him off just take him and Amelia and move them on screen maybe he could work in Debbies garage in Scotland :lol:

 

With off screen deaths do they just go ahead and do it or do they get the blessing of the actor / actress who played them. It’s a bit of a tricky situation tbh I’d hate to be killed off screen I’d even offer to go back and film a brief cameo with a last minute death scene then get the old phone call of so and so has died. I’d be majorly wound up tbh. Either kill them on screen or not at all.

 

Realistically the only time I think it’s plausible is when an elderly character leaves the show (alive) and then the real life actor passes away or when the actor themselves dies as there’s no way they could’ve come back. For instance with Emmerdale I’d only really accept it willingly had it been for the character of Sandy Thomas.

Is Kerry leaving the show, i don't see how the character can really stay on the show after the Frank storyline, but, if she does get killed off over what happened with Tracey, it could see an exit for both characters.
